I saw IT............ Sound interesting reading the forum there. Had quote some forum message there from a forumer folk there: China Powerplus has a 46% stake in China Steel listed on the Australian stock Exchange .

The audit report has indicated the impact of the changes that China Steel may face. But the changes provides China Steel better return in future. And all this been flag out during China Steel 2nd qtr result announcement. And the changes looks positive to me too as listed in my forum below: Emerging opportunities in the recovery of the iron & steel industry in China & simulas package provided by China can benefit China Steel. And the China Steel management decision for changes is for > future better profit for China Steel . > enable China Steel to potentially become one of the larger & more efficient producers of MPI in China. Law, emm i guess should be this new you refering too. In actual is a good new. Got others better news, keep me inform. |

If read back, China Power Plus in actual vested in this China Steel Australlia as a business path forward to get stable steel supply for its product built. This qtr China Steel post net profit of 0.791 million. And current direction from China Steel was to convert its existing plant from being a producer of NPI to producing merchant pig iron (MPI). MPI is made into steel using electric arc furnace or to cast articles in foundries such as stoves, adiators, lamp post, rails, etc. Emerging opportunities in the recovery of the iron & steel industry in China & simulas package provided by China may benefit China Steel. How many percent?? Anyway, China Power Plus not that kind of big big company, so investing in other company in high amt of money looks unlikely. I doubt the percentage is high. Maybe many company got share in this company. Got info, share share. Cheers.

China Powerplus, we bet on its based on the 3 reasons below: > Its huge exposure to China that makes China Powerplus product well sold. > China’s huge fiscal stimulus that looks set to boost domestic consumer spending & will benefit China Powerplus > Possible adverse weather effects due to the El Nino phenomenon might spell higher agriculture prices globally and more urgent needs to maintain current crops. These means higher product needs fr China Powerplus Investment things only make up a small portions of individual company profit. Many company makes even far more lost in their investment. China Powerplus investment is not much lah. This one is just a small fly.

Anyway Investments in this Associate which refer to the Group’s investment in China Steel Australia Ltd was made known (during 2nd qtr results announcement) has decreased due to the accounting for its share of losses as well as foreign exchange adjustment. This news not new already. Known one. |
