we must appreciate those in tis forum who r abv 60+ and do not talk up or talk down px of any counters, uncle cheongwee wat makes u think dow will go back to 11,000 b4 it goes to retest oct low of 1,475??? U must hv ur strong n honest to goodness reasons, appreciate u share with us [ ppl in their late thirties] thanks. | ||||||||

Hi stupidfool, dont be demoralised, i am 68..the most i can ride another 2 more cycle include this one and then i be gone...right???..and i do make $ but not as what i want to be...i should said somewhere between average and above average. But this round if heaven permit, we must not miss..you should not miss also..i have friend who are even much better off then me...there are always someone who are higher than us, so we must be humble..i start out as a technician also, now i am a business owner. To be really rich, we must do and own business, not buy share..share are for investment..but can never compare to business..for me , my business make me more $ then stock..many time over..be brave if you are young ..try business..what can you lose? you got nothing to lose, but alot to gain. But pls dont look at $...we are as good as we are alive, the thing we have are as good as we are alive...if we are dead, even the whole world to us is useless..your wealth cannot follow you beyond that crematorium door...70% of what i have will be for charity...all my 4 children are capable..they dont need my $..some of my friend are gone..soon it will be my turn, will i ever see them again? Dont compare and dont be sad, be brave and be happy...look like rally coming, but this time dont ne greedy, i think it will be as usual..i think DOW will go back to 11000 before it go to retest oct low..

cheongwee I oni in the share mkt for a few years now and i have no clue whether 2 counters are better than 10 counters,honestly. i am learning from all u 'big"timer and thanks for sharing. I can oni dream to buy 200 lots of capitaland like ur self.....wow. How many years have u been trading so successfully in the share mkt? |

Never out all your $ in just 2 counter...even if it is blue chip..very dangerous...dont u think so? and what is the chance of multi bagger compare to mid cap?? for me around 10..thanks for posting..i do read this forum regularly..thanks all for sharing.

Don't play play with property. One article somewhere here mentioned that this round could be low-interest bubble. Low interest ==> buy property. If burst + recession ==> lost job, with high installments to pay ==> cut loss!! property investment can be costly. Must be very careful. Just an advice. The "love of money is the root of problems". Remember this! |

ahem...I am not sifu, and i didn't say we cannot hold too many counters, in fact, I hold 6 stocks, and 3 unit trusts, and i will start buying more blue chips probably next year... yes, I admit I missed SPH at 3.18, thinking that it will drop somemore, before i can get the dividend, oh well, now that 3.61, I will give a miss.. I will try harder next time... i am going to buy Parkway Holding real soon, I wish it break 1.00, oh well, let's see.. it has been yo-yo from 1.03 to 1.41, and now 1.09...

heee.. yeah, I am lucky... I got these two tenants from this website... http://www.expatriates.com/classifieds/singapore/rma/ save my agent fees also, heee... 1 is indonesian chinese, and 1 is malaysian, both are Singapore PRs... yeah, me myself had been "a tenant" since I was age 18..... staying at Sunway for 2 years, Michigan for 5 years, then, Woodlands, rosewood for 1.5 year, 3 months at Eunos, Amber garden (now enbloc), 1.5 years at Lakepoint condo, 4 months at Jurong East block 103, and now become landlord collecting rentals, ha ha... I have seen different types of tenants, while I was a tenant..., heee.... but it is fun experience....

also i would like to accumulate Armstrong...Tat Hong..CDL hospitality..Li Heng..Celestial .China sky.i believe next April i will have them all..Qianhu and Sino Techfibre..i believ these will be multi bagger a year from now..any suggestion ..thanks.for now...cash is king..dont go in just yet in a big way..likely more trouble ahead...but as again, we do not know ..market can turn around unexpectedly...just buy slowly...good luck. | ||||||||

I bought 200 lots..sold all at one go..cause i thought play over ...it did not got the IR project..no worried..this time must not miss..and sorry.. i dont like to go to pub..it is one of a hell...more for those who are drunkard...but i will shout loud here so you know.. Now you know i am wating to buy..so the day come you know..and everyone here who buy will also know..dont need to shout....speak softly, but carry a big stick..

you must "screen" your tenants.... my tenants both are professionals, leaving home at 8 am and come back only at 7 pm, and 1 tenant go back to KL every friday night and back on Monday midnight, the other one, every friday night goto his gf place, and come back on sunday night.. this is the best scenario.. almost didn't see them at all... and yet, one common room $600, including electricity bills, staying at jurong east. electricity bill only max $160++ so far.
