SMRT is consider a local value stock with strong fundamental as long as the PTC continue to uphold their policy of gradual fare increase overtime. Its potential is huge consider the space along the line and stations which can be utilise as a cash cow. However, base on its current NAV and divs distribution, stock price is way too high. Fair value ~ $1.20 - 1.40 for me. |

What do you think about the fundamentals of SMRT Corporation and its earning potential going forward? Despite making a not-so-popular move by applying to the Public Transport Commission to raise fares together with ComfortDelgro last week, if this goes through it might mean yet another increase in earnings. Plus, with the population slated to grow to 6.5million from the existing 4million, this may translate into a potential 2 million additional passengers market size growth in the coming years. |
