Jade former owner is banned for 5 years from any take over..A case of too much, too greedy, 1 2 has 3 cakes n eat all three cakes in one go. All due to not enuff fund, well after 5year, thing will change and becoming wiser. |

Heard from CNA last night that the doctor kana ban from being a director, and also ban from trading shares for a few years. The law firm which did the transaction also kana fine, I think. Merrill Lynch also kana, I think. |

OCBC Bank has, without any admission as to liability in law, voluntarily proposed to abstain from undertaking financial advisory work on take-overs for a period of six months from 1 September 2008 and to donate up to S$1 million to sponsor education programs in fraud awareness and detection. Think it means OCBC is not in fault, just that their SOP is insufficient to comply with SIC. But as a good will/voluntarily ban herself from any advisory work on take-overs and also will be donating $1mil for this "unfortunate episode" :)

Jade Technologies said Fri that collapsed broker Opes Prime Group Ltd. now owns 18.67% of the company, up from 4.41%, after Merrill Lynch returned the shares to the broker. In a filing with the Singapore Exchange, the technology company said Opes now owns 211.6 million shares, up from 50 million. |

So next time when you play contra on non-blue chips stocks, never consider to write cheque. Paid the contra loss directly. You know some stocks i purposely kept only one lot to test how the market hedge fund whack their stocks, majority already melted to nearly non-value with some even kena delisted until their corpse had disappear at noway.
