Parting $288 is a small price paid for a priceless lesson learnt : the realisation of value of money . No, fortunegal is not going to make one million .... she is going to make multi-millions ! hahaha ! |

A lot of young adults are reading robert kiyosaki's books n a few of my friends change their mindset to doing business after this. But sad to say, they didn't think of the financial impact like rental, salary, expenses and thought that "projected" sales /profit will make them survive for the 1st year (it didn't). a young ignorant friend told me they want to set up business but i nearly wonder how they survive the 1st year ..by just borrowing credit line from the bank?. luckily they drop the idea in the end. Yes, it talk about finanical freedom....but it seems like different ppl interpret the "how to". People or family can look asset rich (car, house) but cash poor....which i notice more n more singapore young middle-income adults are becoming like this now. I like the part where Robert emphasize it is not necesary to own a car (liability) when it is not necesary... i always tell my bf not to own one...unless his pay is XXXX amount high to able to fork out the heavy road tax, income tax, petrol...monthly loan.. blah blah. no point paying so much for the car but leave you cash poor for savings. I love the 12 CDs of robert kiyosaki audio CDs.. but cost $288, mind blowing....it changes my mind to much better. That's also the reason why i park some of the money in investing after listening to it. |

I have read this book and feel that its really good. However, some people told me (dunno whether its true) that RK didn't actually do all those things he said he did in his book. He was writing about a fictional character. I hope this is not true.... |

The book is good as long as you see it in the broad picture. RK however does not go into specifics. I prefer his other book, "Four Quadrants". Especially his idea of what the definition of success is, which I completely agree. Success is not a value of how much you make, but how much time you can spend with your family. Think about it, it makes so much sense. |

Find it is a good starter book to make think about personal wealth management. But dun expect a how-to guide to quick fortunes. There are some skeptical views:- http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosaki.html |
