Share price is just a function of the business performance. Let me stress again, look at the broader picture. |

Be wary of share dilution as usually it will affect the share price after the rights issue. Basically need to work out AFTER the rights issue wat should be the 'ideal' share price. So based on that 'ideal' share price work backwards as how much you are willing to pay for the mother share BEFORE the rights issue is completed. A simplistic example could be as below. Correct me if I'm wrong. Mother share: 14 cents Total floating shares: 100 lots 2 for 1 so after rights issue and all is subsribed Total floating shares: 300 lots You got before rights issue 1 lot at $140. So convert 2 rights: 2 x 0.013 = $26 Total cost: $140 + $26 = $166 for 3 lots. After rights issue 1 lot is 166/3 = $55 which works out to be 0.055 cents per share For ppl who want to buy AFTER the rights issue be careful of the cost per share. It should definitely not be in the 14 cents region. |

The answer probably can be found in their half-year financial result. Let us know your thoughts after that. Thanks. |

Besides the fantastic special dividend the company is giving out, the 'actual meaning' behind the 90% discount for the 20 lots for every 10 lots you hold - is actually a 1-to-3 stock split. In brief, it's a share dilution, as the company needs to raise fund, right? Why do they want to do that? If it's just the special dividend without the 'split' exercise, I would think it's a very positive act, but now with the 1-to-3 stock split, I'm wondering why the need, if the company is really doing well? Any advice? |

div payout is just the dessert, the rights issue is actually the main course! 90%++ discount to traded price. |

Let us look at the broader picture than the dividend just alone. |

The big div payout is cuz company wanna utilise their tax 44 credits and return to shareholders. A lot of other stocks in SGX did that too. It is a one time off affair. |

Dividend is $19 per lot that will translate into 10.5% yield. Also 1 for 1 rights share at $0.013. Kudos to the company for such generosity! |

15cents is considered undervalued if u believe tt it's projected FY07 will yield an EPS of abt 2.2cents,which translates to abt 22cents based on P/E of 10x FY07. |

I think tomorrow will open higher before consolidation. How the post rights going to adjust with the original shares will be not easy to predict. If just like Eastern which is now a slow goat, must hold--cannot . |
