Are wealth and happiness directly correlated? The happiest people are those found in African villages from a survey that was done recently. |

I still prefer the way of Lao Tzu - Better to stop short than fill to the brim. Oversharpen the blade, and the edge will soon blunt. Amass a store of gold and jade, and no one can protect it. Claim wealth and titles, and disaster will follow. Retire when the work is done. This is the way of heaven. Tao Te Ching 9 Peace |

I think both are inter-related. With health, no wealth, life can be a bit hard. With wealth, no health, life can be a suffering. "Sheng bu dai lai, Si bu dai qu"http://www.helium.com/tm/252885 |

Dying leaving billions is great... you are still honoured forever by the living... and one's estate is still a reckonable force on this earth. |

Many people when they are young to pursue wealth at the expense of health. When they grow older, they spend their wealth to regain back their health! |

The amount of money needed for retirement depends on the quality of life you want at that age! |

Hi ultrameg, Personally, I dont think making money from the share market is a good choice to enhance one's wealth. In the article, I do agree on the 3 points highlighted by the author. One should always remember that share market can be very volatile at times. U bound to win, but sometimes u might lose too. That is not a stable source of enriching one's wealth. Looking at well-managed funds maybe a better choice instead. Currently, I think that Malaysia & Thailand's funds are quite interesting. Should have more room for growth. I only make sufficient money from the share market to allow me to have a "sponsored" meals for the entire week. If times are good, additional goodies will come in too. One important point I keep reminding myself is NEVER BE GREEDY...U will never be able to buy shares at the bottom & sell at the peak price...hope for more but expect lesser, this will make u happier... Now, I am saving up for a "sponsored" holiday in June...I'm 75% there... |
