Hi All; Try to do it on the Sunday 15 th of Lunar New Year (4-3-2007) Venue & time suggesting by member. I first come out: New National Library down town. Time 10 AM ?? Others please suggest.. |

Instead of organising a lunar new year dinner what about having a SJ charity fund for the poor and handicap. 2006 has been a good year,a bit of donation from SJ members will be good. |

Hi instead of a makan, shall we get SJ to have a contest like having dud 50k funds for participants and see at the end of 2 months, whose portfolio made the most money? The winner will probably get $100 NTUC voucher or something??? |

hehe ed88ks, even hardcore traders need to take a break now and then. :) if you'd noticed tho, there are a lot of online surfers browsing the site. think most savvy investors (or anyone with sense) would be a little unsure and nervy now, actually. we've all been calling bear for so long now that when the bull keeps running, we don't know whether to trust our cautious instincts, or follow greed and keep punting. DJIA has dropped 3 days in a row, and US sentiments are turning bearish--Apple managed to drop even tho it posted good earnings. would be interesting to see how this stacks up against MM Lee's declaration of tax cuts. |

Yes, agree that Buffet is the best. However, we may need to book/reserve the place in advance especially if the group is big so that we have a section to ourselves. If group is big enough, we may even book the whole place. Without any reservation, many people turn up and got turned away..... |
