hm..i think the price of queue comes first and then the time of queue if the prices are the same? not sure abt online brokers since i use a real one, but have the impression real brokers can get shares faster...not sure if i'm mistaken abt this. eg, i can call a buy at 11.53 am, watch sgx, share price act moves up above my buy price, but my broker calls back before 12 to say he got the shares for me already. don't quite know how he does it tho. |

catch22,u r exactly right. That is y I say "in your price of queue". I mean, u will be the "1st" if you bid the highest and the "1st" if you offer the lowest. |

Isn't it based on price matching system? If your buy order is performed early after the close of trading, it still needs to be the highest bid on opening of trading for your trade to be in the front of the queue. Conversely sell orders on lowest offer will transact first. Please correct me if I am wrong. |

You keyin your order at 5.15pm after trading closed for the day, for the following trading day. You would, in most cases, the 1st few in your price of queue. So when the trading price comes to your price, you will be the 1st few which will get done, compared to those who do it in the actual day. However, this normally or stocks which you intend to sell /buy at the price you want regardless of what will happens in the Dow (overnight) and the stock u r trading in. ie. You will let go / buy at whatever you set and at times, your trade will be dome during the 1st 15 mins before the trading bell. (matching) |

Hi Guys, does anybody know how to be the 1st or 1st few in the queue to buy or sell before the trading starts? I always performed my buy or sell order the day before after trading closed but on the next day, i need to wait quite long before my queue is up. If we trade through a broker or remisier instead, do we get preference treatment or is there a trading house which is good at this? Any comments would be appreciated! |
