Chairman Chia Kim Piow, who founded the company in 1972, said Rotary has tendered for several contracts totalling S$200 million to S$300 million for Exxon Mobil's "Singapore Parallel Train" (SPT) project at city-state's petrochemical hub of Jurong Island. Aiyoh... how to 'cheong' with both hands full????????? Rotary have to secure more projects at home and abroad. They're slowly into the Middle East and with their past proven track records, I'm sure they're able to secure more projects. The biggest problem is 'how to find more experienced hands' to come onboard their teams. Understand that they're starting a training college in Middle East. Cheers! |

No doubt a good stock DJ MARKET TALK: Rotary Engine May Land ExxonMobil Deals - CIMB (2007/09/03 16:26PM) 0826 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: Rotary Engineering (R07.SG) likely to land contracts for ExxonMobil''s multibillion dollar Singapore Parallel Train project on Jurong Island, says CIMB; "Rotary is almost certain to be awarded contracts, given its track record in the local EPCC (engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning) industry." Jurong Island project is Exxon''s second petrochemical complex in Singapore, estimated to cost US$4 billion; comprises steam cracker, series of downstream plants. Rotary has submitted S$200 million bid to build steam cracker. CIMB keeps Outperform call, S$1.68 target. Stock +4% at S$1.31. (FKH)

The decline in this counter is probably overdone. Should see some bargin hunting and move back to 1.35 - 1.40 level given the strong book order in hand..Cheers! |

Rotary has secured a big pie in Shell oil refinery business in Jurong Island With Exon Mobil coming into the picture, Rotary will bag few more contracts..reckon current contract on hand is worth S700 million...From the edge article that Kim Eng has a TP of 1.57...CheerS! |
