The increase was partially offset by the leasing and geophysical segment. Shipbuilding, ship repairs and conversion ? external revenue for the segment increased US$65.9 mil primarily due to sale delivery of vessels and increased ship repairs and fabrication work. Chartering ? The rise in revenue (US$28.4m) was contributed by better utilization and higher charter rates. Leasing ? The decrease in revenue (US$6.7 million) was attributable to the reduction in fleet size for the leasing segment due to monetization of finance lease receivables in Q4 2012. Gross profit (loss) -- The improvement in gross profit amounting to US$23.2 million was primarily contributed by the shipbuilding, ship repairs and conversion segment and lower gross loss in the geophysical segment. The increase was partially offset by the decrease in gross profit in the chartering, leasing and subsea segments. The improvement in gross profit in the shipbuilding, ship repairs and conversion segment was due to the increase in revenue. The decrease in gross profit in the chartering segment was primarily due to increased repair costs of vessels while the decrease in gross profit in the leasing segment was due to the reduction in number of vessels for leasing. Other income -- Other income decreased by US$6.5 mil primarily as a result of decrease in rental income (US$0.1m), reduced gain on disposal of property, plant and equipment (US$12.2m), reduced gain from the changes in the fair value of interest rate swap (US$0.2m) and other income (US$0.3m). The decrease was partially negated by an increase in net foreign exchange gain (US$6.1m) and gain on disposal of investment in joint venture (US$0.2m). |

I think it should be safe this time round. If you look at their announcement during 2011 and 2012, normally, they will issue profit warning, but since we didn't see any prior to their result release tomorrow, i think it should be quite safe.
