Many people are now caught in a sudden drop of prices of most stocks in the SGX. The shortists are laughing to the bank. The market suddenly crash last week over DOW's falling 50 points. Dow has been dropping a few points on and off to cause havoc for Sg market or even world markets. Penny counters don't fall much like the heavy weights, but when the market goes up, the heavy weights will chiong more. Still many Singapore pennies are worth looking at because many are still dormant for many years. We want some eruptions to happen soon, hahaha. Huat ahh!! |

Rowsley jumps on UPP stake sale
Shares of Singapore’s Rowsley surged as much as 31% on Monday after the oil recycling and renewable energy firm said it agreed to sell shares and warrants in UPP Holdings for $22.1 million.
“Both the stocks are up because Rowsley will have the cash proceeds from the sale, while for UPP the sale means that they will have a new big shareholder,” a local trader said. |

Board of Directors of Rowsley Ltd. (the “Company" ) wishes to announce that the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, SSP Innovations Pte Ltd, has entered into an agreement to dispose to UOB Kay Hian Private Limited or its assigns, by way of a married deal, all the 108,136,000 ordinary shares in UPP amounting to 18.56% of the issued share capital of UPP and 53,630,000 warrants due 1 March 2013 issued by UPP (the “Disposal”) held by SSP Innovations Pte Ltd at a cash consideration of S$0.17 for each UPP share and S$0.07 for each warrant. The aggregate consideration amounts to S$22,137,220 and will be satisfied in cash. The Disposal is carried out as part of the business of investments, investment holding and strategic investments of the Company and its subsidiaries (the “Group”). The Disposal will increase the Company’s audited consolidated basic earnings per share by 0.25 cents assuming the disposal had been effected at the beginning of the financial year ended 31 March 2011, and will increase the Company’s audited consolidated net tangible asset per share by 0.31 cents assuming the disposal had been effected on 31 March 2011.
