It could be hedge fund or some strategic partners taking a stake in the company. They're not ready to make the announcement just yet.However, there's been a couple of queries by SGX on the financial statements but Swiber has made the necessary clarification. Could this halt be related to the latest query? A restatement perhaps to follow through? I'd put my money on the first.

exactly the same as my view....look at px of PEC & swissco now,.. they came up from 20-30 cts below swiber................this burger cannot be sleeping lah.

It depend on how much it will dilute from the last trading day price...so prepare to kena whack for a couple of days before it stable and then will climb back again...provided that mkt sentimen is good... | ||||

Agree with you, I also think it should be bad news. if it's good news,it is released earlier already. why take a few days to release news? something funny.no confidence to it. luckly not hold so many for it! for those one who hold too many.be careful!

Uually they can't wait to announce good news. *sigh* this is also an aspect of corporate governance that SGX should be looking into.

No wonder swissco up 18 cents. to swiber, is good news? I hope it is good news, but need take so long time to release news? anybody know? it's very unfair to retailer investor. those who know the secret are buying or selling the related shares.
