0437 GMT [Dow Jones] Buyers are mostly avoiding larger-cap stocks in Singapore and going for lower liners amid a general lack of newsflow. The STI at midday is down 0.7% at 3186.76, coinciding with the 50-day moving average. Support is expected at this week's 3164 low set on Tuesday. In contrast, the FTSE ST Catalist Index is +1.4%. Market breadth is negative with 2 decliners for every gainer. "Penny stocks are in favor. This is usually the case when people are short on ideas," says a trader from a foreign brokerage. Among such stocks, Bio-Treat (B22.SG) is +10.0% at S$0.055, Sapphire (589.SG) is +33.3% at S$0.02, Armarda Group (5EK.SG) is +16.7% at S$0.035. Among the large caps, commodity plays are the worst performers after recent strong gains; Noble Group (N21.SG) is down 1.9% at S$2.12, Golden Agri-Resources (E5H.SG) is down 1.9% at S$0.775. I posted this just after i said i might buy at 2.19 .. didnt see the charts properly.. my eyes were peeled from trading eur/usd hahah but when i went to wash my face come back and see again.. then i spotted the pattern for a minor drop today.. dun worry la.. today most likely close abit down only :) probably black inverted hammer/shooting star so no worries there. okay not... 2mrw i'm not gonna buy due to china news .. probably gonna buy it on monday.. my bad.. and btw.. if you see the charts using chart nexus.. i am wrong with my previous posts. possible down but minor black candlestick. But long term still general uptrend. What i'm worried about is the MA20 falling downwards.. 50 and 100 looks good with strong uptrend signal still.. so no worries there.... i forgot 2mrw was friday :S hahaha i dun like to hold my positions over the weekend.. too many issues already.
