Dear readers,

As I mentioned before, my main purpose is just to emphasize the risks involved with discussion forums like this. It has its advantages but you need to always think carefully and get the opinions of others instead of relying solely on the content here. For example, are they asking you to buy because they own the shares and want the price to go up ? Are they shorting the shares so they give negative comments about the share price? Sometimes psychology is used so powerfully their comments  can cloud your logical mind.

I've better things to do than to be drawn into petty little arguments so this is where I'll stop. I'm secure enough a person to just stop here and carry on with other more important and pressing things. I consider my little community service done for the day. 

Finding fault is not my concern. Ozone, take a piece of my advice -- if you need to be so petty as to pick up a fight with words, and to attempt to ridicule me with my cautionary advice to others and blow it out of proportion to everybody when someone makes a comment, it just shows how insecure you are (the 'little man' syndrome).  Boy, it's time...you need to grow up :)

why did the fresh grad get burnt?

1) he didn't have enuff financial education and wanted to try his luck on someguy who's called MASTER or GURU or STOCK GOD..or master of the universe who advocated a buy cos they thought it was worth going into w/o taking into consideration that the markets can move in any direction at the helm of the smart $$/professionals

2) he was downright greedy and overleveraged and burnt his backside..

so who's fault is it?

right on ! thank you ozone for helping me remind everyone. I'm glad you learnt your lesson. Everyone is free to state his/her opinion...afterall you're in a democratic nation called Singapore right ?

Just be responsible enough to say whether you are "vested" or not so that people know which angle you are coming from, that's all, instead of calling out to "buy ah!" , "short ah" without any basis. Now mind you, this is not a law, and you are free of course to continue making these calls if you want (afterall, rest assured, I am no cop and I have no right to arrest you !) However, if you have a conscience, then you know what to do.

Believe me, I know enough about finance to be able to make my own judgements, my concern is for the new members who may be professionals in their own fields but may not know enough to make the right judgements. I'm not out to witch-hunt (who says you're a witch ?! haha), but reading these previous posts I am just reminded of a fresh grad I know who got burnt (his 21 years of savings gone) by some comments he read somewhere on a discussion forum. He's a bright kid but still got a lotta learn about trading/ investments.

This counter blue is good counter...never wrong to buy anything below 2....i bought myself 1.8..and...1.4..if go down to 1.0...that is a possibility..i will buy even more...so is capitaland..but currrent have stop...see Obama can do his job or not.

don't any call buy w/o justification..later kenna burnt and slained to death ah..

especially u veteran ah..

i don't like to spend unnecessary money..

i go for value.. not short term gains..
