Yes, agree...a lot got peng san....only the traders (in and out type) survive the meltdown from $16-$6, some with little damge. But the long term ones and averaging down type suffers the most...this is the way the game is played, the KC will call the shot, who win who lose.....

At every dollar down from $16.00 till $6.00 (down by $10.00), many thought it was good valueto buy... So many bought and bought... and averaged down, and averaged down some more, due to such 'good value' since it's much cheaper. But the end story as of today is... 'peng san'...

There may be downside from here, probably another 10-20%, but I see that it's almost time to start accumulating equities, which will be better in overall economy in 2-3 years. I see that it's time to create a strong portfolio if one is looking on a longer term view. Of course, blue chips will be the choice. SGX had from its high of $16 to now $6+, I see value in SGX now though a lot of analysts TP $5.00. Should that comes (which nobody knows right now), I will buy in more. SGX was trading around $5.00 about 4-5 years ago. But SGX value is no longer the same now compare to 4-5 yrs ago. If SGX will ever trade at that level now, I am confident to say it's undervalue. My view only! Do your own homework. |

I thought raising rate slightly at this point is good. It helps to stabilise the markets. Of course, more raises are not good, but it is a good soln for the time being.

though hope will go up 2morrow but still think wud drop further 2morrow....ecb just raise rate by 25bps....not good 4 equities n oil likely go up.......bearish outcome 4 dow n global stk markets except oil counters. | ||

ha ha the 2 cts theory loh. same with other counters such as KepCorp etc. KepCorp closed at 10.46, last 30 sec I sell at 10.56, a near miss as it closed at 10.52 during preclose period. I also tried to buyin for SPC 6 cts lower after close, but to no avail, its very strong. Must Q now to buyin 2morow leow, may be few cts higher, though its TGIF. |
