China Animal Healthcare (CAL SP, $0.355, BUY, TP $0.48) – We initiate coverage on China Animal Healthcare with a BUY recommendation and target price of $0.48/share, pegged at 15x FY11F PER, a discount to its peer average of 23x. While FY10 net profit may be hurt by certain one-off expenses, we remain confident about the group’s longer-term growth prospects given its leading market position in animal drug manufacturing and distribution /KIM ENG |

China Animal Q3-2010 net profit falls sharply by 59.6% due to one off exceptional itemsAlthough China Animal's Q3-2010 results were
disppointing on the surface - they look okay if we add back two one off
exceptional charges linked to new staff share options and expenses linked to its
HK dual listing. |

I am expecting food prices will increase a lot in 2011 and this company can benefit from this trend. Make love more, don't make more enemies |

pull back will not be much. at most a bid only. china animal and c&o pharma are gem stocks. it will grow double easily next year. both have monopoly of medicines in their own specialized fields which has high margins and the industry is growing. load up before you are left out |

China Animal seems attractive due mainly to a) Pro Govt policies and strong domestic economy; b) Biological drugs (i.e. vaccines) to power growth; c) Execution risks have abated; d) Earnings visibility have improved; e) Blackstone - strong testament to CAL fundamentals; f) Interest from other institution & insider; g) Dual listing likely to be end Nov. Risks: a) Dual listing not a done deal yet; b) Diseases which affect poultry or livestock ironically have a negative short term impact on CAL Readers can take a look at my blog http://ernestlim15.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html for more details on CAL. |
