in fact, most of the forumers felt that more mortgage lender, around the world would slowly uncover their credit crisis, sooner or later loh. At local, OCBC is one of them. Thailand may be in trouble, China also seems not that well as well. AK guess.

whatever is happening in US and whatever Ben said was no surprise at all, unless you were living in the cave for the past months. US had been eating their tomorrow's lunch earlier for the past many years. Enron case didn't wake anyone up. So what they have implemented SOX to do more stringent checks? If you are involved in any of the SOX audit, they will know how little it can achieve. Again, whatever is happening is not a surprise at all. Singapore is more and more like US now, many people are spending more than they can afford. Many are living on loans. So, this crisis will serve as a wake-up call for Singapore before it's too late. |

agreed with hlj, relax lah, jangan tension. as far as CO down, sky will be clearer liao. cum lately our JIC chairman comments on this smally island will be advancing in the next 5-10 yrs. And its a good sign if you don't see Warren and Soros say anything. cheers. |

Oh yeah... i forget Sing F1 race, lets cross fingers and see how many people turn up and the posting results on busines just like 8th Aug in CHINA... If results on both not good..... this year can forget enter stock mkt.... 2008 mkt cannot play.... Thus affecting IR kick off in 2009-2010 which is another indicator.... Another this is strong indicator for demands if companies invites Foreign Talents to SING leading demands for HOUSING.... otherwise, forget invest in HOUSE, prepare it to drop in next 2 yrs in private house (only rich FT will have $ stay in private house, if company offer HDB, do u think they are cheapo and give FT good pay whom spend more????. b However NEW HDB will be continue expensive will current high materials costs. THerefore only house that are many year old, maybe more than 5 yrs will drop in coming 2 year if these indicators above are no good..... |

Consider if many STI counters are posting good results.... I think STI will not have much impact for Monday, likely closing is either small drop or small increase. But the long term will not be so good if US and other countries like CHINA mkt continue not good for next 2 Q. 2 events to look out the BIG event in 8th Aug and the US election, this election is very sentative and must be the most interesting election since the last BIG interesting election, thus many other interested Nations. Overall, unless u are 100% sure on certain counters or long long term, think better don't enter.... these days it is the BB mkt and play around.... As a retailer invester limited fund, we can't play on quick profit. |

it will be crucial to see if this two thing happen in line at the same period of time: 1.) DOW bouncing off the support level 2.) Oil reached certain stage near $150 and gush downwards should this two happen simultaneously ...it will be quite positive |
