x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	michaeltay, rec date is the date company will close its books to ascertain the shareholders' who qualifies for the dividents. For example, if rec date is on Wed,  you sell shares on monday, the title of the shares will be transferred from you to buyer on Wed, hence buyer will be on sharholders list on that day.  Because of this, xd is 3 working days (inclusive of rec date) prior to rec date i.e. Monday.
