watch this stock , it's not on the radar of fund analysis yet, accumulate at $1.50.... 2006 profit up $369million, earning for share 0.61. that huge. could be a multi bagger. |

China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corp. (CAO SP):
The company, which sought protection from creditors in 2004 after a trading scandal, said it wasn't aware of a reason for the recent surge in its share price. It was responding to a query by the stock exchange. China Aviation jumped 8 cents, or 5.6 percent, to S$1.51, taking its five-day gain to 32 percent. - Bloomberg

a lah, when the counter rise, then, you started to say if i buy....... useless liao la... well, since some of the people so confirm that it will rise to $2.00, then, why not just buy 100 lots now until siao.. since u SOOOOo sure that it will rise to 2.00, nothing is confirmed one la.. there are so many other potential counters in singapore market... can't believe when CAO is around 1.01 - 1.10 for months, and nobody talks about it, and when it moves, people said what china aviation industry booming, blar blar blar, rubbish man... my post didn't aim for anyone, my point is it is very easy to talk about "history".... no points, act now if u believe and no regrets! |

Btw, I told my good friend about CAO last week before the price rise; he bot 20 lots - I was too SLOW. But CAO has run up too much, too fast; I see short term pull back but long term it remains bullish. Cheers |

You need to be looking at the market all the time to "short" a counter. It seems easier to make money shorting rather than go long. Witness that share price is more volatile going down than going up. But shorting is not for the general investing public. For my investing style, invest for the long term but take profit in the short term if target is met. When you invest for the long term, you end up a "short term" investor; if you invest for the short term, you will likely end up a "long term" investor holding paper losses! Cheers! |

zorkss: nickyng is the small time shortist. usually big time shortist dun juz sell 5 lots cuz after deduct brokerage left so little. they tend to sell at say 10,20,100 etc etc lots.... tchoonw is the forumer who play big should ask him how many lots he sell :) | |||

Hi Nickyng Correct me if I'm wrong...as I hv no idea abt shorting.....According to your post, you sold at 1.44 and bought back at 1.42----5 lots. After deducting brokerage charges of abt $60 for both transactions, your profit is only abt $40. OK for 1/2 hour trade...but isn't it rather risky for such a low return? |

hi, tanglinboy, lewsh88 - no I did not get in... instead I sold when the stock was at 1.24 only to see it moved to 1.34 only 15mins later.. felt really lousy.. as I was waiting for this breakout to happen for last one year... however my friend said.. alamak you made your 10% so ok lah let others earn a bit... |
