Bullrun, Don't quite understand what you mean by "Even if thing get better how well can they perform in 2nd half?". If things get better in H2, shouldn't they perform better than in H1? |

shplayer, GMG first half EPS is only 0.31c. Even if thing get better how well can they perform in 2nd half? I will be great is you can share your earning forecast! Thanks. |

Profit warning for 1H 07 ws due to:
Rubber prices seem to have bottomed out since about 20 Aug07. High oil prices drive up prices of artificial rubber (butyl rubber) thereby support NR prices. China demand for physical rubber is picking up. Their physical inventory has fallen. GMG managed to secure supplies from other small holders/out growers and the recent Indonesian acquisition will come onstream inAug 07. Mgmt expects 2nd Half 07 to be better than 1 H 07......baring any unforeseen circumstances. Price have come down from high of 21 ct to 11ct (Fri close) Am vested again.......caveat emptor |

Hi BullRun, bullrun4ever, zhuge_liang Read the forum about GMG, it been a drastic drop in the last couple of days. Bought the stock >1 year at below 10c so at a lost of should i just sell off and earn some profits or abserve the market movement? Appreciate if you can advise. Thanks. |

The risk of weather and currency are spelled out clearly in the annual report. With both happening together at the same time is bad. Over and above that, the change in market sentiment will be another factor putting more pressure on GMG. It is better to avoid in the short term, at least until the HY result is out. It is better to be safe than sorry! 'Up to a point after people tell you a story and a vision, don't write it off. Sometimes it comes true. You just make sure that if it doesn't come true, you don't get hurt too much,' |
