x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hi IreneL, If you ask me, I would suggest it is best if you get to know the ropes more first before you buy more, especially with regard to trend. Since I am just a punter, it may be uncomfortable for me to embark on a lengthy discourse on the phenomenon of trends, as trend followers typically hold for the long haul until the trend 'expires' so to speak. Not to make things too complicated, I would recommend you 'lay down your tools' and proceed to the investment sections MPH of or Popular and do a bit of browsing the stock market books. One need not go into the profundities of investment analysis. But one must at all cost acquire the basic knowledge before  wadding  in  treacherous waters.  To achieve this,  it is my view that the simpler the book is the better. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hi IreneL, Averaging, down or up, is sound practice only when one is reasonably confident of the progress of the trend. This applies to any stock, by the way. The keyword here is the trend. You see, the trend is what TA people basically try to uncover. Thus it is rather dangerous to do averaging when one is not banking on the trend. This is where our TA friends here will help us. If you notice, eg. Singaporegal frequently tips us on the trend. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hi iPunter Yes I am very much aware of the vissicitudes of the stock market.  And I dont intend to compare apples and oranges at the same level.  Not being an expert with picking the right stocks (but to be a little bit [just a little bit, mind you!] better like Warren Buffett, there are questions I must ask. Similarily I have also been informed that one can either average down (when the price heads south) or to average up (when it drives north) in order to cut losses (?)

But I don't think he's gone nuts!  Nor is he drunk on Red Bull! Actually, if a stock has gone lower, it can be more risky to buy it although the saying goes to "buy low and sell high". That's why the stock market is such a frightening place that even brave people can get smacked left and right simply because they think a stock is very 'cheap'. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hi cashiertan Saw your Nov 8 posting.  What was the price for Jiutian on that day?  I am confused as to why you said to enter at either 88 or 89 or even at 90-92.  If the price then was below these figures, then shouldnt one be buying low and selling high? Many thanks

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Better drop everything (like a streaker) and run as fast as a gazelle, for one's dear life.  Sadly, the market does not have any fresh lead so it's rotational play at work churning the volumes.  Too many IPOs within this weak and next.  Where do players have so much money to lose?  With the end of the year fast approaching, funds may be winding down their positions soon, which also means the merrymaking  may end real soon.
