to rabbitfoot , i strongly agreed with you regarding genting hk had solid foundations , i had been studying this counter company's profile and dig out all of it's stats and reports these 3 weeks pertaining to the rise of it , speculative saying aside , it's assets minus of it's liabilities had way above 73.5 % . I doubt anyone really do alot of homework and backend research on this counter .

Good Quote. I'm sure most would agree, the rise in prices for both the Genting stocks are driven up not solely based on fundamentals. It's rising because of greed, and the desire to want it to go higher, or in other words, HOPING it would go higher. Potential is a great thing, but is also a dangerous thing, it means it's not realized yet, and whether it will reach it's full potential, is anyone's guess. These 2 stocks at the moment, are propelled solely on Greed. Genting HK is actually just riding on the coattails of Genting SP. Many entered Genting HK, simply, well, because it's more affordable. Will the stocks still be pushed up? Possibly. If people just keep buying, the price will still continue to rise, but it could also easily go the other way if the funds initiate a selldown. But from what i see from market depth. The sell queues are getting bigger, more selling than buying, and that is worrying, the sell queues at 54c, 54.5c, all above 12k lots, and at 55c, 19k lots waiting to sell. Whether the sell queues are real, nobody knows till you reach it. But either way, when i see sell queues bigger than the buying queues, i don't stick around to find out. If it clears 55c convincingly, i may consider entering again, but till then, i'm out.

I completely agree. Genting sure has potential, but it is getting risky. As in Genting SP, you can see it's not very "stable" once it passes the $2 mark. I am still holding on Genting SP, but just small lots. I bought the Genting HK on contra, didn't buy all at once, i avg down or up on the way. Not a big player by any means, cos this stock is still below a dollar, still affordable, or should i say, can buy more lots within the limit. Seen alot of people playing more lots than me. I did previously hold it in my portfolio, but i have played contra on genting HK quite often recently, due to the high volume, been in and out about 4/5 times so far. I'm not a pure contra player, only play contra when i spot volume and market depth. And i will admit, that with every step up, it's getting riskier as the price goes higher, so i'm cutting back.

wow, we have a trader here.... 200 lots...... that is a huge credit limit or cash ? for me, those are my honest opinions and hope to make some good friends here. But I think genting still have some potential but the most important thing is to make profits regardless on what people said or do...... you make a right choice, congratulation on your profits.

Opinions and analysis are always nice to read, cos everyone has a different opinion. I posted what i did, cos of the amount of exposure this counter has, and there are many here who are new to stock trading and just getting in. Just giving them a heads up, that out of 10 such "tips", 9 times it's always wrong. For me personally, i visit quite a few forums, and whenever i start to notice this kind of threads appearing, i know it's time to EXIT. Well, to me, make abit better than make nothing, or even worse, lose money. I've noticed when there's too much "shouting", "enticing" , it usually means the opposite. If a stock is good and positively active, no need for anyone to shout BUY, it's pretty obvious, people can see for themselves,people will buy. There is nothing to gain by encouraging others to buy. Lots of other counters to make money from, but for me, i stick by my rules, whenever this type of strange news, "good news" comes out, it's time to take money off the table. I will consider moving in again at any point, but for the moment, i'm glad to cash in my 200lots, make less as compared to 55c, but better than make nothing at all. Just take care when trading, many new traders need to open their eyes, and keep their ears to the ground.

honestly speaking whatever the news , judging by technical and fundamental analysis on this counter , it still at a baby phase for rally , i have many years of trading experiences from the days i was with SIMEX looking at this phase , it rings a double bell for more , Judge yourself look at the company quarterly ROI look into it potential for long term , anyone here can rebuffer | ||||

but i say this in a more technical aspect of this counter, today should be a technical correction after few days of rally. It is good time to enter at 0.525 or lower after this morning "correction. If all goes well, in the next few days it should goes up again, at least back to 0.545 or higher than that. but that is my humble opinion, please do not blame me if correct continue.....

When people come in here shouting, this and that, Peter Lim, Seng Siong buying, where's the proof? Seems more like enticing people to enter. Whenever this type of "lobang" comes out, it usually means time to sell. Nobody is that good to want everyone to make money. Seriously, if i have these so called "tips" i wouldn't share it with the world. As expected, sell down today, after this "insider news". Don't be gullible and fall for this type of enticement. When people are shouting to buy, it's time to get out. |
