I thk mid of next week Kepland pricing will stable (around the 12Jun09 that was mentioned). Now the STI index is almost there at 2400. Human factor, worry that there is a major correction when hit 2400. So people will start dumping their stock (blue chip, especially those with value that way too much high than the analsyt TP ). And correction will hit heavily on them (i guess). And i believe Kepland is not one of them as its pricing is still quite low compare to Capitaland. So not much correction for this babe, i guess by mid next week..... Let keep monitoring, cheers. |

If you want to take fresh positions in kepland, then I think it is better to wait after 12 june 09. Monitor the situation for one or 2 weeks, the share price may go south because of twin effects of dilution and STI index correc tion. I may be wrong, it6 is just a suggestion.
But i think the most important thing is what is the long term price movement, if we think that kepland can gain from big overseas projects in china and india , then we should keep for longer term. By then it could go up to $10

If one assume that kepland is gg to perform in similar pattern as capland. when is the best time to accumulate, before or after 12 june?? Dun know how share will react to rights issue...more shares will be released, resulting in price slide or the other way?

Hi Amily, a good reference for this stock is Capitaland if u r really unsure. During a similiar period in time for Cap (rights week), it's recovery was stagnant abt 2 to 2.2 (by the way, I regretted selling my stuff then, it shld have been a time to accumulate more on hindsight). After that, well the rest is history. Look at where it is now. Still, the decision is yours. Cheers!

went back in again....personally don't think the price can go down much further. Compared to capitaLand rights shares, this environment is different -at least the light at the end of the tunnel can be seen. I suspect the impending rights shares trading next week has also been factored in. I suspect many people are holding onto their precious KepLand shares, so even the marginal profit on any drop in share price would be nothing compared to the potential gain. ....I thought it's better that I go in around this price otherwise might miss the bandwagon. Good luck to all, vested and waiting at the sidelines. |

Yes, i have the same idea as u. after dropping for two days and with very unpredictable sti movement, i load off today, take the profit and go. will vest in back again. |

Thanks amilytan for your reply. I was thinking it might be a good idea to sell off my KepLand's shares first while I still have some profit and then buy back when they are cheaper next week. Because of the rights shares thingy, I expect the price of KepLand to fall further, given there is less buying interest now.

I notice for CapitaLand, the share price started falling as the day of rights share trading approaches. Will KepLand follow this pattern as it nears the trading of the rights shares next week?

Hi Sureesh, frankly in the range of 6 to 9 bucks is good for me. I have to agree with Chewbacca pointless to say wld have, cld have bcos our crystal ball not nuclear powered... so the best strategy is to have a certain price target based on your own research. Then do it, don't look back.

Roll in some more if it still drop. Anything below $2.60 for Kepland is actually quite cheap already. By right its price should be quite closed to Capitaland. Anyway, its up to individual. For this counter i will prefer long term as it got great prospect to go high again.

Thanks sureesh40 for your input. I understand if this applies to CapitaLand and CityDev.....But in the case of kepLand, -- could the drop in kepland price be the short-term effect of dilution with rights shares which will begin trading on 12 June ? What do others think ?

Well....I think it's fair to say that it's not difficult to make good money if you keep blue chips for long term.
But the idea is to maximize profit. I'm going to say that I regretted not selling kepland when it rushed to $3. I would have bought back again at current price ($2.6).
But...would have, could have. Pointless to say such things anymore.

i think it is just correction because of sti resistance at 2400 points. if sti can breach resistance and move on to 2800 range the kepland will resume it's upward trend
