Tiong Woon Corporation Holding Ltd announce that SMIE Singapore Pte Ltd has issued a writ of summons numbered Suit No. 3513 of 2011/D against Soon Douglas (Pte) Ltd a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, in the High Court of Singapore. SMIE is seeking payment of at least S$48,865.62 for loss and damages it suffered as a result of SD's breach of certain terms in a contract entered into between SMIE and SD for rental of 1 unit of SMIE's Anti Collision system to SD on a monthly rental basis, and its component of claims encompassing damages to be assessed, interest, costs and any other relief as the Honourable Court deems fit. The Anti Collision system was damaged/destroyed due to an accident occurred at the work site.

Tiong Woon Corporation Holding says it turned in profit after tax attributable to equity holders of $1.8 million for the six months ended 31 December 2010 from $11.6 million in the previous corresponding period due to lower turnover and higher depreciation charges. Turnover fell to $54.7 million from $82.3 million mainly due to lower contributions from its Heavy Lift and Haulage, Fabrication and Engineering and Trading segments.

Below; maintain Underperform. 1Q11 net profit of S$1.3m (-78% yoy) came in below

our estimate and consensus, forming 8% of our FY11 forecast. Weaker-than-expected

turnover and margins were to be blamed for the underperformance. In view of continuing

weakness in its operating environment, we have reduced our FY11-13 net profit

estimates by 25-55%. Our target price hence dips to S$0.32 (from S$0.37), still based on

7.2x P/E (10% discount to its mid-cycle multiple of 8x) as we roll over to CY12 valuation.

We continue to see de-rating catalysts from weak Singapore operations.

Turnover beneath expectations, as revenue from all business segments fell yoy in

1Q11. Though such declines were expected, the extent of which came as a surprise.

The lack of integrated haulage and marine projects resulted in 21% and 8% yoy dips in

revenue from its heavy lift & haulage and marine transport segments to S$23.1m and

S$2.7m respectively. The fabrication and engineering segment was the hardest hit in the

quarter, posting a 79% yoy decline in sales to S$2.0m, while revenue from the

traditionally volatile trading business fell 65% yoy to S$1.0m. Gross margin fell 1.9% pts

qoq to 25.6% (-9.2% pts yoy) due to higher depreciation costs from the addition of new

equipment and the weak utilisation rate.

Healthier balance sheet the positive. The good news came from the full payment

received for the derrick pipe-lay barge project in 1Q11, which reduced its receivables by

S$70m (-59% qoq) while lifting its cash balance to S$66.6m (74% qoq). The collection

allowed TWC to settle the revolving credits drawn for financing the derrick pipe-lay

barge, resulting in a 21% qoq reduction in total borrowings to S$108.4m. Net gearing fell

from 44% in 4Q10 to 19% in 1Q11 as a result.

Recovery earliest in 3QFY11. With earnings momentum remaining weak in recent

quarters and the outlook still looking challenging, we believe that recovery is unlikely to

kick in during 2QFY11. We expect to see a more meaningful improvement in its

numbers starting from 3QFY11, with this expectation hinged upon a pick-up in its

overseas projects that could make up for the continued weakness in Singapore.

After Tiongwoon has completed its rebounce in April 2010 at 59.5 cents , n also touching the upper trendline of the downward channel , it came down all the way to reach the lower trendline of the same channel today , broke down today n closed at36.5 cents . If it cannot rebound back to reverse the down trend , it may go down to 21 cents technically .

After Tiongwoon has completed the rebounce at 68 cents , it came down very fast to 51.5 cents today almost non stop . And unfortunately , it broke the 200MA without any rebounce , it is going further down to 50 cents very likely .

have been observing this counter which is similar with rotary movement. tiong woon after a spike to 0.565 last few days, it has dropped and trade between 0.54 - 0.55 movement. previously rotary also spikes to 1.01/1.02, and then drops and trade betwwen 0.995/0.99.. after this drop and consolidation, Rotary went up to 1.4-1.06 and then consolidates again.. maybe next few days, tiong woon will trade between 0.57-0.585 and consolidates again for future erection again.. any TA analysis are to share his sentiments on this counter?

I still went in buy more. now avg at $0.56. The company holds some very good projects from my view. Think is a good time to buy more even now. If the market corrects more, most likely can even go to $0.40++ range or lower. Good thing is they haven issue new shares yet so means they still got money... hahaha...

Dont forget the march lows was less than $0.15. Imagine u bought at $1.00++ must be able to tahan the kind of drop. I will most likely be keeping it and hope the march lows wont come back so soon. :)

Any comments on Tiong Woon after company has announced its 2010's 1st half fianical report? Still buy on dip? Apparently, EPS has dropped 50% when compared to 2009. Is it still attractive to accumulate since prices has dipped to $0.5 since placement shares is priced at $0.83? Is the declining EPS an turn off unless they are awarded big value contracts delivery which will increase its 2010 finanical? However it is only 6 months from Aug and as you know, enginnering projects take at least 12-24 months to deliver.

The 100MA cut 55MA above the share price may confirm the rebounce of Tiongwoon has ended . Today it went down further to 61.5 cents . Tiongwoon may face more resistance in the future because it has gone below all the moving averages . Directional movement index is still negatively placed , ADX is rising which means the downtrend is getting stronger .
