actually singtel and sinotel, both play different role in the same industry.....u shld compare singtel to either china mobile or china unicom as they provide services to end users.....while sinotel is indeed providing network solution to those telcos like china mobile or china uicom.....however i can suggest u to compare sinotel to comba or centron as these are the competitors.....

My take is this baby good for long term. Divi not an issue. Explained by various parties oredi. Inspite of recent creep-up, prices remain at no more than 40% of Nov07 high. PE remains attractive. Compare SinOtel with SingTel. Any opinion from TA guys? Bahru vested. | ||||

I Q up to buy at lunch time with price tag of 0.285. Consider lucky poems managed to deal for me with price of 0.28. However i noticed that many sellers leh, Maybe we need to cut losses. I will monitor closely.

They did hint that for the time being, they wont distribute any dividend....So i dont think that is a bad news anymore but instead is one of their weaknesses bcos they dont hv redundant cash to be distributed....If u r looking for some dividend distributed company...probably u can go for Li Heng, China Taisan or Chang Tian.....however, this yr i dont think they can perform well as their export has been badly hit since Q4 last year......indirectly, the divident will be affected as well....Market like this, if there is any companys which can provide better net profit than last quarter is considered good irregardless of how many % increase in profit...Yet Sinotel is traded at a PE less than 3.5...what else do u expect?

Is 15% increase in profit a good news? The price was not affected by the news at all. The bad news is that there is no dividend declared, I think.

vested as well.....looking at its peers which are trading at average forward PE of 9.66, how could sinotel be traded at PE of 3X only.....eventhru a lot of S-chips have been lately obsessed by some negative comments....Besides, according to Phillip research house, it gave a target price of .27 for sinotel which is calculated based on the PE of 3X too....which is far too conservative in my point of view....

the only set back however is the long collection period. got to wat out abt 6mths for collection . alot of thing can happen in 6 mths. vested. going to miss todays sti rally . going off on bussiness trip morning flight . happy trading may this counter cheong high high. haut ah!!!

lawcheemeng, i agree with u completely. if got top auditor, got bank to be the collector of payment fr customer, all this is sufficient assurance on corp. governance. like that, if dont buy this stock at 2.9X historical PE, i think doesnt make sense when this year and next yr, the 3G boom in china is gonna give them lots of work and lots of profit. at 25 cents, doesnt make sense not to buy. most people will wait for it to run up to 30 cents before they buy cos they get the safe feeling being part of the momentum crowd. |

the write up said the auditor are one of the best in the world, so wat u think? and every time they get a project, they present it to the bank so as to get the loan to work on the project. so it is double governance. if with such cx around still can" play cheat" ."bor bian liao"
