Unisteel Tech, Buy S$2.29 Price Target : 12-Month S$ 2.53 (Prev S$ 2.68) Unisteel has terminated the MOU to buy JC Metal as further negotiations with JC?s shareholders failed to agree on the terms of the acquisition. Given Unisteel?s immaculate track record in adding value to the business, we are confident that management has good reasons to walk away from the deal after more extensive due diligence. Undeterred by the failed acquisition, Unisteel will accelerate its organic expansion into disk clamp. Consequently, this might lead to possibly earlier than expected contributions by year end.

The price different between by earlier call and now is so big a gap down. Not advisable to short now as price now at 2.10. Will rebound when hit 2.08. Be careful shortist. |

This counter will continue to drift lower for a while unless next week result is Very Good. All has been priced in and juding by the recent tech customer of Unisteel, it think it is a 70% down and 30% up probability for the next 2 weeks. Trade with care |

Classic example of a counter with little volume. When the stock price rises, it rises fast and when the stock price falls, it falls hard. I bailed out my current holdings at 2.34 and buy it back at 2.29 before the close. |

It The company said in a statement that the parties were unable to reach an agreement on the acquisition terms, and has terminated the MOU. Dealers said the market had priced in expectations that the acquisition would boost the firm's market share, after the company announced the MOU in March. |

Nickyng, i don;t think HDD coys will go bust. Seagate reported poor results , dropped 5-6%. then Unisteel dropped .. HDD is in bearish mood, and it could stay bearish for a while. That seem to be HDD cycle..poor in first half of the year and cheong in second half. |

Looking at sub 2. :) 2.00 support for now. Further downward will test the 1.8 support. Lets wait for the downtrend to complete and at the consolidating phase, we will monitor for a buy signal to enter a trade for a trend reversal. Stay tuned... |
