As CH Offshore went up more than 10 cents recently, it is not surprised that Chuan Hup catches up since it had more than 28% stake. Financial end June.. |

For long term investor should focus in this counters. Low PE and considerbly good yield. Cash rich! But ... its stock price rather disappointed.... Since day one, its management never disappointed the share holder... |

With the old 'book value' in the 40 cents order, I believe it is OK to just HOLD it. Also with CH offshore performing well, perhaps ChuanHup should trade in its 40+ cents region. Good luck to all vested |

GO failed to secure the 50% level but 'acceptances' was 4.67% which will be returned to shareholders. Walnut now holds 47.87 - 4.67 = 43.2% of CH........up from 30.38% from the time the GO was made......the increase were bought in the open market. Now that the offer has lapsed, will be interesting to see how the share performs with the lifting of the big block 'BUYS' and 'SELLS' at 36c and 37c which restricted the free market movement of this counter for the past 2 months. My guess is it will play 'catch up' with the market. |

Takeover offer by Walnut has laspsed "after Walnut failed to garner the 50% minimum required for mandatory takeover to succeed" Walnut had garnered only 47.87% when offer closed yesterday evening. |

CH Offshore's net profit for its third quarter ended March 31, 2007, rose 218.2 per cent to US$9.9 million, while revenue rose 20 per cent to US$10.3 million. |

Strange move...they could have let the offer lapse today....then they will be free to buy off the open market....but within SGX guidelines. Seems they are in a hurry to secure more shares........I think something may be brewing. Any forumers heard anyhting in the market? |
