(", ) March 10, 2010, 5.36 pm (Singapore time) The Business Times Tiger Airways sees 90% yoy jump Feb passengers By ANGELA TAN Tiger Airways Holdings said on Wednesday a total of 437,000 passengers chose to fly with the budget airline in February 2010, up 90 per cent over February 2009. Passenger numbers benefited from the addition of double daily services between Hong Kong and Singapore and strong demand during the Lunar New Year period, the Chinese 'Year of the Tiger'. The average network-wide load factor also increased, with 85% of all available seats being sold, an increase of 6 percentage points over February 2009's load factor of 79%. For the rolling twelve months to February 2010, total passenger numbers grew to 4.7 million, an increase of 51% over the preceding twelve months. |

My friend work in hotel said that the occupancy rate is about 85%+ now, 20% increased compare to last year, I believe Tiger Airways have the potential with the delivery of an additional 50 Airbus aircraft lined up over the next 6 years. |
