x 1   x 1  Alert Admin	No.   It all depends on conversion price of a warrant and the cost of warrant (free or payable) too. Generally, big shareholders may feel their shareholdings diluted thus their control of the company reduced, but this is not very important to them as with a simple one vote control of a company, you still control a company.   To the minor shareholders, warrant conversion makes very little significant difference. The only factor affected is the earnings to be distributed. Your dividends or paybacks are slightly reduced. This is considered only if the company makes money, and if not making money, no difference to a small player who only expect price appreciation. Conversion of warrants increases the capitalization of the company.   Here more shares multiply by market share price equals market capitalization.  When a warrant is converted, the conversion money goes to the share premium accounts of the company, and this money still belongs to the shareholders. Normally the conversion price is lower than the market price for warrants to be converted. However if warrants are converted when the conversion price is higher than the market price, something is suspected to be cooking, although such situation seldom happens. Hope I am not wrong in my analysis. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Warrants are given free as a sweetener to loan stock which is issued with coupon interest rate,becoz when loans are traded they will be price less than $1 and upon maturity say 3-5 years u get back yr full capital plus of course the interest payments along the way,hence loan is a borrowing by a co from investors.   Unlike rights issues or bonus issues the drop will be more drastic to the theoretical ex-rights or ex bonus price but if you notice(correct me if I am wrong) if the warrants come free without acquiring the loan stock the drop is marginal..eg Keppel corp when they give such free warrants or when they gave K-Green reits,so I believ Rowsley when traded ex warrants may still remain > 40cts.When the 2 years expiry of warrants,Rowsley will get more capital injections which come in handy as it need the $$$ for all its projects in Iskander.Just my opinion based on my observation of " free warrants given without purchase of loan stock" only feel free to criticise teeth53      ( Date: 16-May-2013 11:53) Posted: Hope it help player's to understand on how warrant is issue free...!!!!.
