x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Well, though $50 million is not very big amount, at least it shows the company has many plans in its expanding business.   Furthermore a take up rate of 100% will mean that investors have a good rating of the company. So I believe the notes might be " oversubscribed" meaning in good demand.   Lol.

It is highly that the paring down of Firstree has been pre-mediated else such disposal will not be possible without causing signifiacnt damage to the share price. The recent very high volume and the ability to sustain the share price throughout the period is not normal trading and hence revealing a well orchestrated reallocation and restructing of management composition. The new management composition will herald a new era and new direction. As retail investors, we couldn't and should not over speculate and read too much into such developments. The key is whether we have confidence of the new players to the management composition to drive Hankore to greener pasture and growth trajectory. It seems that increasingly that Hankore will not sell its asset outright. I agree that there is high liklihood of a separate trust being set up to list the assets instead. Perhaps that may be a reason for Firstree to pare down his shareholding in favour of bringing in Asdew who will take up 6% shareholdings while Firstree reduce from 8.17% to 4.75%. Asdew and DBS will be very helpful to help Hankore on such a setup. David may be pushing ahead with its plan that was revealed in his interview on Global Water Intelligence Vol 12, Issue 9 (September 2011) : Unusually for the Chinese wastewater sector, HanKore owns 100% of the equity in all its BOTs, rather than adopting the more common JV structure. While this gives the company greater control, it also puts more pressure on its finances. The new projects are expected to be 70% debt financed. HanKore has set itself a target of increasing its water, wastewater and reuse treatment capacity to 5 million m3/d within three years, and to 10 million m3/d within five years. To help achieve this, Chen hints that HanKore may expand by acquiring operational projects in China. “Not all the existing players can hold on until the end of their contract terms due to financial weakness or poor judgment of the market, so there will be opportunities to exploit in projects sold by other companies,” he commented.

Having DBS to administer and manage the notes for S$300m clearly shows that it is now highly regarded and not a fly by night Chinese firm that many worried can disappear overnight or shocked everyone with financial irregularities or fraud. I'm very excited to be a part of this process and watch the actions pan out !
