Aiyo....you are misinform leh.....the penalty states 5% of the contractual cost, subject to a min. amount of 1K. So 63cts X 100lots fine at least $3000 lor.

dont ever naked short. on hindsight, of course its possible. but we trade on foresight! how risky is naked shorting. xinren go up how? unless u think cdp too rich, you want to donate money to them :D

yes i naked short....but so far hv not tried naked short w/o covering...anyway for this burger if u dare to naked short on 1st day at say 63cts and DONT COVER...u wait till it buy-in by CDP..even with $1k fine u still make thousands looking the price now....63-50=13cts x100 lot = abt 11k after commission and 1k CDP fine leh :P

Hi Nicky, Just a question, as IPO is a new issue, there is no CFD and no agency has spare shares for your to borrow. So.....you are doing naked short ?? A bit dangerous leh..... I kenna naked short last year.....it was a honest mistake. Lucky SGX accept my reasoning, if not I will be fined in the thousands. In the end I have to pay 300% interest rate pa for the next 4 days when SGX buy-in to my broking hse...... The money could have buy me a lifetime supply of watermelon.......heeee
