i am wandering DOW drop almost 800+ but STI still stay at 1800 somebody ( the fund houses) is hold and try to unload their shares i believe the strom is near STI is track very close to DOW |

Anyone know any news that cause the big swing from -100 points to +34 points? Property Counters and Financial seems to bounce back. Wonder why??? |

STI recover damn fast..now back near 1800 pts le..Dow futures up..Nikkei also recover to lose much less now.. Tua, STI was affected quite badly at start la..down 100 pts just now, just that it recovered..but it feels very dangerous still..it is the wkend and key US data will be out tonight. I'm not buying now..may drop further at closing..

Member, Master, Elite n Supreme, are sequence how long are u writting in the forum. Not a gauge of performance. AK alrdy retired, hence I hv much free time to get to know people in the forum.

elite/member/senior etc are just titles given by the number of posts we've posted. believe you can see if you click on post count. don't pay too much attention to them really. :) the US data you quoted was the ADP non farm. less that the previous was only -26k, what is more important is that the expectation was for losses of 100k, but turned out to be 157k instead. also that the factory orders, non manufacturing PMI and importantly, business sentiment, all took a greater dive than expected. the other pt of note is Euro data. Germany factory orders down a massive 8%, cf to predictions of abt 2%. It confirms recession in the euro zone, since germany and france are the key countries to watch for. |

AK seems to be everywhere..in all threads lol..what does 'elite' rank mean? Elite better or Master better? Ya economy is getting more & more gloomy..according to Straits times, unemployment in US for Sept was 26,000, Oct was 157,000..what a huge increase. Goldman Sachs retrench 3,200 globally. Better keep some cash for tough times.. |
