x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Friend bryangoh, $11.06 is an ok entry price. My 5 lots  - which I just bought in anticipatioon of upcoming ex-date - has an average entry price of $11.28. Kepcorp's fundamentals are sound. Although it's present price level is not outrageously high, it is still around a historically high level having risen from $7  as you pointed out. So, even though it has upside potential over the next few years and can earn us dividends along the way, we may have to brace ourselves for possible price drops due to market fears. Meanwhile, let's collect some money on Aug 24 ex-date.

Recall that the group declared a final ordinary dividend of 27 cents/share and KREIT dividend in specie post its 4Q12 results. One KREIT share is awarded for every five KEP shares. Hence with KREIT's current price of S$1.455, the dividend in specie is worth about 29.1 cents/share. This translates to a dividend yield of ~4.95% from just the special and ordinary final dividends, and ~6.55% for the whole of FY12, which is attractive.

We retain our Buy call as we remain positive on the offshore & marine sector and Keppel’s leadership position as a premium rigbuilder. O& M operating margin turned up higher as we expected. While management maintains their conservative guidance of 10-12% operating margins for the long term, we believe that margins this year would be higher at 14.2%. Deepwater orders have been slow but jackup orders are strong. With SGD2.1b of new orders secured YTD, Keppel is on track to meet our forecast of SGD5.4b in new order wins this year. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Keppel profit slump 56 per cent  due to one off gains last year, profit from the sale of homes at reflection at keppel Bay. It net asset rose from $5.14 to $5.33. According to analysis, share price will pick up after June'13. I also brought 2 lots and is confidence it will pick up. Even it does not pick up in the short term but the dividend of around 3.5% is better than deposit in the banks.

I am thinking of buying more - maybe another 1 more lot  and another  as price drops.  Ex-date is April 24. Do you really think price would go as low as $10 as friend moneymakers say?

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Don't worry as reported Keppel won a contract worth US$226 millions, the current order of US$226 millions is 8% higher than the last super B class jack-up order by Japan drilling, value at US$210 millions. this shows that the prices for new premium rigs are unaffected by competition by the Chinese yards. Analyst recommended investors accumulate Keppel shares.
