Marco Polo to build AHTSFiled from Singapore 6/24/2008 10:44:36 AM GMT SINGAPORE: Singapore-based Marco Polo Marine Ltd. plans to start construction on its first anchor handling tug supply vessel (AHTS) towards the end of this year. Construction on the 5,000-bhp AHTS will take place at the company's shipyard in Batam, Indonesia, and is expected to take between 18 to 24 months to complete. Marco Polo currently owns eight tugboats and eight barges. The company will be investing another S$25.8 million (US$18.9 million) to acquire another four tugboats and four barges. |

Due to weak market sentiments, good stocks like Marco Polo will also go down. I sold this stock for a small profit but waiting to buy back on weakness. I will invest a small sum and hold it for long term. One must be able to hold and control your fear if US market and STI drop drastically which I predict will happen soon. For your information, Marco Polo ever dropped until 20 cents due to weak US market. However, I think Marco Polo will do well in future as they are going to do ship repair business and they also have a shipyard in Batam. So far, their profit margin is growing. If Marco Polo is upgraded to Main Board, I predict the stock will cheong. Invest within your limit and risk appetite. I may be wrong. |

Done a check on this counter last friday and have faith that in three trading days it will break .33 barrier and if not.. we can forget about looking deep in this counter for awhile cos there is change in VOL on friday and seems up trend is building up.... Not an inducing comment to buy/sell.... trade with care.. It's only my 2ct opinion...
