x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Jess, I bought my lots last year at 2.79SGD.  3.58SGD was a difficult resistance but it broke thru today and I am seeinng how it will test 3.70SGD.  Above 3.70SGD will set a new 52weeks high. But if it fails, I think you know what to do. :)  Good luck~

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Unless it break above 3.58 convincingly, I will hold, else will flat at 3.56/58 since it fail repeatedly at that resistance (the capitial gain for Singtel will always be up till 3.56/58 if it continue to fail past that resistance so no use to me).  I know my strategy may be weird to you but if there is no increase in capital gain, I rather do the range or buy when its low again. Today my profit stop was set at 3.00, it came too close for comfort. Thank god it rebounced at 16:00H hour and closes above expectation.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	No I didnt add any to my existing lots I bought from last year.  I am hoping that its will break past 3.58 to see new highs but am disappointed each time it tries to rally.  My only technical reason to sell would be to flat that failure. On hindsight, it may be worthwhile to hold coz if I do flat it, I will probably not be able to repurchase it at last year's price in the near future.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Kilroy, I think the environment is not so favorable at this moment. Could see more sell-off....and I'm still waiting to get back if the px is right...maybe 3.15 or 3.20. Farmer, Optimism or pessimism is not on my vocab. I'm a realist as far as the Market is concerned. You're rite, I'm both short and long term player. My longterm means 6-12mth. Shorterm could be 1 day - 14 days. Cheers!

SingTel will have a stake of almost 4.0 per cent in Far EasTone Telecommunications as part of the share swap in a transaction valued at T$6.09 billion (US$185 million) The Singapore telco will have a stake of almost 4.0 per cent in Far EasTone Telecommunications as part of the share swop in a transaction valued at T$6.09 billion (US$185 million), it said in a statement. Under the terms of the transaction, Far EasTone will issue 160.37 million new shares to SingTel in exchange for the 24.51 percent stake in New Century Infocomm Tech. The transaction is expected to be completed by Dec 31. SingTel, Singapore's dominant telecommunications operator, has the largest mobile phone user base in Asia outside of China totalling 136.35 million subscribers

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Farmer, Now I see your point and to show your confidence you need not have to go to the extend of making a statement that is very difficult to prove and come to a conclusion. Similarly, I'm quite confident that the current team is able to carry SingTel Logo high but with more difficulties. What I'm discussing here is the stock px under the prevailing environment - is it too high (so it is better to sell) or too low (buying opportunity). Of course, we each have our own strategy as far as the Stock Market is concerned - in short, to each his/her own. Even SingTel may have increase its customer base by leap and bound, the margin squeeze is a concern. Just imagine if SingTel's performance is below Market's expectation (even by a small margin). The Market is not very forgiving in such a circumstance.....but that is another story! Cheers!
