We initiate BUY with a TP of $1.49, for upside of 63.7%. Courts’ unique in-house credit financing facility adds an alluring factor for investors, as it allows the facility to enjoy much higher margins than its competitors who rely on third party credit providers. Courts is able to tap into cheap funding to grow a non-retail income stream, and earn a lucrative spread. For its market position and sustainable growth model, we value Courts at a modest 16.4x FYMar14 earnings, on par with the best in Singapore for consumer products distributors, but 20% lower than regional retailers in high consumption countries such as Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.

Grp add that although SG economy is slowing, the exceptionally healthy job mkt, with near full employment, is helping to support the retail industry as consumer confidence remains strong. However cautioned that eye-catching results will not be repeated every quarter as some of the co's growth strategies might not have an immediate impact. In addition to building its presence in Malaysia, grp will also expand into Indonesia, where the economy there is growing much faster than many of its regional peers, resulting in a rapid expansion of the middle-class section of the population.

At that time,  minor shareholders were forced to sell it @0.55 or hold the shares as private company which I think most retailers were just sell it back. Therefore, if it was still the same controlling shareholder, then you could figure out their main interest is not align with the minor shareholders, they are just going after the $$ just like the ManUnited listed in USA. I  will just avoid such company for the time being even that I did hold  any previously.
