Chart shows its probably gona breakout of resistance soon leh. 3QFy results will be out on 11 Nov. Shorting not recommended at all.

1.05-1.06 is a good buy now IMHO. Just my 2 cents

Giving dividends now is akin to feeding rabbits with small baby carrots, u can only satisfy them for the time being. =) Hope u dun mind my comparision.

The dividends they could easily give out would be put to better use by acquiring more vessels, in my opinion. Swiber will regain its days of glorious trading once again.

Previously, I mentioned to hold on for it to drop below 1.00, but the last 2 days giving me confident to get into this baby again.

If it drops further tomorrow, it will be another buy based on what price I will like to enter.

And on the post below about PEC, Swiber and PEC both are diff league. I have vested on PEC long time back and also played on PEC on short-term. Even after XD for PEC, I will still feel that this stock is a stock to be reckoned with. Definitely always a darling for me.

But of course, I won't want to get in more for PEC at the moment, thus Swiber will be my next target on Oil and Gas sector. Rotary is looking good too. But at the moment will like to only concentrate on 2 stocks..

P/S: Sorry, I know I have been lazing on posting on my stock blog and also to my subscribers, but I am trying to find some time to do this by posting forum here..

And since it is a laggard compared to STI, it will catch up before year end

But if you buy,, have to pray that the coy dun screw up in their 3Q RESULTS

Corporate Event
According to Upstream, Swiber is the lowest bidder for the design and engineering, procurement, installation, and construction contract for offshore pipelines for the B-193 cluster field development by India's OCNG.  Swiber has bidded the lowest at US$124.86m, which is lower than National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC)'s US$125.0m, Valentine Maritime's US$129.2m and Punj Lloyd's US$131.3m.    
 
Our Take
Swiber is already handling three jobs (Swiber's share estimated at US$273m) for ONGC and management expects the Indian national oil company to typically award US$2-3b worth of contracts p.a.  Swiber is also vying for significant contracts in the ASEAN countries and the Middle East (our recent company visit report is attached).  We estimate Swiber's current orderbook at about US$800m.  Key share price catalysts are a sequential quarterly earnings ramp-up and  large contract wins.  We attribute Swiber’s lacklustre share price in 2010 to its unexciting quarterly performance thus far.  We expect the group's earnings to start mirroring its large orderbook from 4Q10 onwards with a meaningful impact from the three Indian contracts.  We maintain our earnings forecasts and target price of S$1.45.

 Alert Admin 		swiber does not give dividends for years..how come the share price never cheong like the rest? supposing they re-invest, the share prices should be much higher isnt it? any Target price?
