x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Tropicana Sales Soar The Star, 28 August 2013   PETALING JAYA: Tropicana Corp Bhd, which reported a 209% year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in revenue for the second quarter ended June 30, is on track to achieve its sales target of RM2bil for this year, said managing director Datuk Dickson Tan. He said Tropicana achieved record new sales of RM1.06bil for the first half of 2013. '" Our locked-in unbilled sales at the end of June 2013 stood at another all-time high of RM1.65bil, which will drive our future revenue and profits as our construction progress gathers pace," Tan said in a statement. The group reported revenue of RM362.1 mil for the quarter under review compared with RM117.1 mil in the same quarter last year. Its pre-tax profit from the property development division rose 132.7% to RM45.6mil. Group pre-tax profit increased to RM62.3mil from RM58.7mil y-o-y on higher finance costs while net profits dipped slightly to RM38.33mil from RM38.83mil. 'The improved results from our property development division was attributed to higher profit recognition from key ongoing projects - Tropicana Danga Bay in Iskandar Malaysia and Tropicana Grande, Tropicana Avenue and Tropicana Gardens in the Klang Valley," said chief executive officer Datuk Yau Kok Seng.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Affin Research Maintains " Buy" On Tropicana Corp The Star, 26 August 2013   KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Research is maintaining its ?Buy? call on Tropicana Corp Bhd with an unchanged target price of RM2.50 as it favours the company for its extensive business contracts and strategic land bank. Affin said Tropicana had on Friday entered into a Letter of Intent with AmTrustee Bhd, acting as trustee of Capitalmalls Malaysia Trust (CMMT) on the possible acquisition on Tropicana City Sdn Bhd. ?Tropicana has granted CMMT an exclusive period of four weeks from the date of the LOI to undertake due diligence process on the proposal and upon being satisfied with the results, CMMT shall proceed to enter into negotiations on the terms for the proposal,? Affin said in a note on Monday. Affin acknowledged a report saying the property might be transacted between RM550mil to RM650mil. ?We are generally positive on the proposed disposal ? it is inline with management?s de-gearing initiatives and the will lower Tropicana?s net gearing from 0.72 times to 0.4 to 0.45 times,? it said.

They might just say extension of long stop date that's all No point signing another 2 piece of land MOU meaning this 2 land must be discuss together too. The chance is still 50-50 only the board and danny knows. How much Danny desire to be in SGX joining with his brother Sports Toto trust listing later on only Danny knows about it We just hope this takeover is successful because Albedo under Danny Tycoon is better than Albedo under those small fries...     jie1313      ( Date: 01-Sep-2013 11:22) Posted: Hi, personally i think that the likelihood of the deal being materalised is high. If not, they could have just extend the deadline and stop there. There is not a need and reason to sign another supplementary MOU, and whats more, include 2 more land parcels.

If RTO fails, the price will most likely slash by 50% back to 2 cents. If u want to take this trade, be prepare to bite the bullet. Personally, i will not take the risk after SSH sold everything and RTO agreement extended by  one month. These 2 " bad" signs had prompt me to keep out of this counter.
