I refer to the Marking of Sell Orders and Daily Short Sell Report for Hankore in particular for the day of 6 Aug 2013. It indicated that a total of 50,781,000 shares were short sell today. Given that one can't sell and buy by same account and if all short sales were covered back by end of day, the total volume transacted must at least be double or more of the total short sales. Today total volume of 83,755,000 is apparently falling short of that. I understand that not all short sales may be covered back intraday if the seller either borrow from leading pool to cover or leave the sales opened and hence subject to SGX Buy-In by T+3. Given that there are only 11,178,000 shares available in the lending pool, SGX Buy-In should be inevitable. The Daily Short Sell Report for Hankore over the last few days have registered very high volume and I noticed there was hardly any SGX Buy-In so far. This seems unbelievable. I hope SGX will look into any misconduct that compromise the interest of retail investors and the integrity of the following :
Short Sales Section 330(1) of the SFA states that any person who, with intent to deceive, makes or furnishes, or knowingly and wilfully authorises or permits the making or furnishing of, any false or misleading statement or report to a securities exchange, futures exchange, designated clearing house or any officers thereof relating to dealing in securities shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $50,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or both. |

CDP clears the market at T+3, crediting shares to the accounts of those who bought the shares on day T while debiting shares from the accounts of those who sold their shares on day T. Should there be insufficient shares in the account on T+3 due to shorting, SGX will conduct a buy in at two bids over the prevailing price on T+3 to clear the market.
So from today's data, 50 million shorts on a total volume of 83 million shares indicates a shortfall of 17 million scripts at least. If the disclosure is correct, we will see a massive buy in next Tuesday, which is T+3, around noon at two bids over the current price then. If there is no buy in, it indicates that the short sellers' account/s had sufficient shares and as such, was and is giving false information to the market with regards to short selling.

Today, the total number of shorts was 50 million while the volume transacted was around 83 million. Impossible to cover back naked shorts and the CDP scripts available for borrowing sure don't seem like they're being utilized at all.
Price of shorted shares would be approximately 4.8cents, indicating a loss for the shortist/s. how long will this continue.. Lets see what happens next Tuesday. If there is no SGX buy in, we can disregard this disclosure from then on. Someone is deliberately providing misleading information to SGX. |

There may be short covering these 2 days ? While we have long weekend, China is business as usual and who knows what deal may be sealed during the long weekend ? Europe recovering may help China manufacturing industry again when export starts churning again. China govt will definitely wants to make sure that the waste water treatment is fully enforced to contain the worsening pollution. | ||||

Looking at the notes issued by CCM Group, 18% annual interest.. HK got quite a good deal with regards to the interest issue, though the CCM one can be paid in stock too, further diluting their soon to be very diluted share base. | ||||

Seriously doubt that it will dip down all the way to 3.8 or 3.9 cents. This counter is behaving differently from the last activity back in Feb-Mar 2013. HK I still making high volumes consistently. Plus it will be a massive loss of face to Alan Wang. And his investments are heavily monitored by both retail and institutional investors. This is just a short term correction as ppl who caught the high want to sell down. The short sell data..no idea what to make of it. But we haven't seen any short coverings at all so far, only sell downs. Probably this involves a private transfer of securities for borrowing, not through borrowing the pathetic number of scripts from CDP..

Very strong likelihood that it will go to between 3.8 to 3.5 cents, yes and I was thinking of this too. But the upper limit should it want to climb should be around 8 cents. I missed getting 3 cents before, so this round must catch it. Enjoy...

Possible Low - 3.8c Possible High - 6.2c From the chart, I wld expect tomorrow another bear day. If it does race down to 3.8c, will get more @ 3.9c. |
