Refer reuters news.04-09-2007 15:53:34 Singapore Hot Stocks-Midas falls on concern over China venture SINGAPORE, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Singapore's Straits Times Index <.STI> was up 0.09 percent at 0747 GMT. Stocks and factors to watch: Shares of Midas Holdings The China Daily reported on Tuesday that Aluminum Corp of China, or Chinalco, has paid 1.2 billion yuan ($159 million) for a 75 percent stake in Northeast Light Alloy Co Ltd, which Midas was planning to invest in as part of a joint venture. For details on Chinalco's stake purchase, click on [ID:nPEK305973]. DBS Vickers said in an internal note that the change in Northeast's ownership may impact Midas' proposed joint venture and affect the company's growth if the deal is called off. Without Northeast as part of Midas' business, DBS Vickers said it would lower its price target for Midas shares to between S$1.84 and S$2.06 due to lower earnings forecast, but still maintain a "buy" call on the stock. i want to see whether they are going to sue the publisher. If it's not, it's rather fishy whether the news is from them. So, they can buy cheap? just curious! |

I think at current px, MIDAS is a good buy...esp with good results it will definitely clear some of the overhanging clouds,,, "Midas reported net profits of S$7.1m for 2Q07, up 58% YoY. It declared an interim dividend of S$0.005." |

Anyway, if midas can grow at the rate that investors desire, even go to $3 is not a problem...Just look at Ezra, who will know it can cross $6 when it was $2? |

The both brothers buy in to show confident, if it drops, so what, they are both now at least net worth of S$500 million and above each, I mean individually each not combine!!! Just be careful. Good Luck. |

Based on the price action, it may slip further, possibly sub 1.00. Take care. |
