Yes sifu... That was what I thought too when I initially dumped it @1.30 (with 6c gain).. In spite of the beautiful technical chart potential... But yesterday, I dumped again @1.315 after getting in @1.315 (same price)... Todat " tarn tio" because it dropped like sheet to 1.26...

Main stok bukan gasak-gasak... Mesti mahu rajin-rajin belajar teknikal cat-nya (bahasa engeris cakap " chart" )... Kalau gasak dan fikir " murah" atau" " mahal" ... mesti rugi banyak...

Sifu is right... What I mean is that if one treats stocks as betting (just like in casino), one will be miles ahead in terms of mental preparation...

It's true after you put money on the table, it's a betting. If you have an edge (educated guess lol), that will make a different between betting in market or jackpot machine.

This counter dropped like sheet on on the opening bell... low is 1.265 It may heading for 1.22... not a good sign... in spite of " unlimited upside potential" ... lol... |

Shouldn't be comparing to 2011 as it is an exceptional year of $0.30 EPS. Most consensus on 2012 EPS is in the $0.20 region like 2010, however this falls short to $0.168 in actual with only 3 vessel delivered against the forecasted 5. (the 2 vessel were delivered in Jan 2013 instead, hence pushing the 2013 shipment higher) The order book is not too bad, no dividend is expected as they have already given out 77% of their earnings in the 2012 interim dividend of $0.13. (STX OSV has mentioned previously that the intended dividend policy is 30% of earning). If there is a huge sell down it is probably market over react to the pale comparison in result with 2011. Could be good time to load as long as it doesn't drop below $1.22. Just my view. |

No exact date given, but should be soon. The purpose of the IFA report is to express an opinion on the offer price as there has been a general offer made. The board of directors will then advise shareholders whether to accept the offer based on the opinion expressed. The IFA only express an opinion on whether the offer price is fair. This is not binding. Regardless of the opinion, whether you want to accept the offer price of 1.22 is up to you. The offer price will not increase because of the IFA report. It will only increase should Ficantieri suddently decide to raise their offer price or if a third party suddenly join in a bidding war. Which is unlikely. The most likely scenario will be the offer will lapse and Ficantieri fail to cross the 90% threshold.

Have anyone read the report ? Can someone post it here ? By the way , seem like some of you have lost the faith of this stock. This is a scenerio that is hard to come by whereby downside is protected a 1.22 for the near term. And the upsides are high , fair value to 1.55 based on my comparison with other Oil and Gas stocks in S'pore. Even if it does not declare dividend this time , it is due to the offeror is in the midst of buyibg the shares from the market. Once things are settled , after 13 Mar, the company will announce the dividend perhaps few weeks after. ( I seen this happened for Nera Tel last year and this year Jan. You see Nera Tel has since gone up by almost 30% (inclusive of dividend)) . I am holding tight and will go in again if it drops to < 1.25 again which is very unlikely in the near term... |

Ya lah... kaunta ini main naik lebeh bagus... ada potensial-nya... Tetapi saya sudah keluar tak masuk lagi, sebab say takut dia di-berhentikan. Kalau kena berhenti (halt), leceh sikit... tetapi mesti boleh ambil balek harga 1.22...
