Singapore electronics maker Hi-P International reported on Wednesday a 91% drop in quarterly net profit despite higher revenue, but said it expects robust orders in the second half.
Hi-P, which supplies parts to companies including BlackBerry maker Research in Motion and Apple Inc, earned $1.5 million in the three months ended March, down from $17.9 million a year earlier.
Hi-P's first-quarter net profit was also sharply lower than the October-December figure of $9.4 million.
