In 2008, Co. sold a part of their business (Component division) to Arrow of USA for USD 51.5m (approx SGD14.4 c per share). In end 2008 it declared a capital reduction of 6c and in 2009 it declared an interim divident of 4c. As of 2009YE, it still has about SGD40m (7.55c per share) in cash. Plenty of cash to fund a generous divident. Unlisted SUTL (Arthur Tay) took a 25% stake in the Co. at a price of 12.5c in Dec 2009. Since then, 3 members of SUTL have taken seats on Achieva's board....with 2 Achieva directors stepping down and the current CEO will be replaced by Arthur Tay by end April........ something is certainly brewing. I thot the best time is the worst time and the worst time is the best time. I think of buying at 9.5 cents don't know can get or not. as the queue is too large. Might buy at 10 cents. What is your thinking? | ||

Woa, a few more days to CNY. Wish everyone GONG XI FACAI from LL. Stock market bottoms again, so this new year good for cherry picking?. At least we can have an "Nian Nian You Yu" since this will give us more extra fish meat, because Achieva is back to nearly 8 cents. Lets give it a 10% premium for it being such a good boy to us last year. We begin picking now shall we? How's that Vic, ok ? Cheers. |

Now is time to accumulate. If you wait till SUTL announces their business plan, it may be too late. Put it this way, SUTL got in at 12.5c. Is it their intention to let the mkt price to remain at this level or less? as has been the case since the announcement of the married deal. I don't expect any announcement before FY09 results announcement....probably towards end Feb. Caveat emptor |
