The high volume trade may due the market players having inside information that CG Tech is proposing a 1=2 bonus issue. See below announcement. PROPOSED BONUS ISSUE
On 24 February 2007, the Board of Directors (the ?Board?) of CG Technologies Holdings Limited (the ?Company?) announced that the Company is proposing a bonus issue of up to 130,000,000 new ordinary shares of HK$0.10 each (the ?Bonus Shares?) on the basis of one (1) Bonus Share, credited as fully paid for every two (2) existing ordinary shares of HK$0.10 each in the capital of the Company (the ?Proposed Bonus Issue?).
The Board is pleased to announce that the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (the "SGX-ST") had on 20 March 2007, granted its in-principle approval for the Proposed Bonus Issue and the listing and quotation of the Bonus Shares. The in-principle approval from the SGX-ST is not an indication of the merits of the Proposed Bonus Issue, the Bonus Shares, the Company, its subsidiaries and securities.
The exact number of Bonus Shares to be issued will be determined on the Books Closure Date for the Proposed Bonus Issue which will be separately announced
A circular to Shareholders setting out details of the Proposed Bonus Issue and the notice convening the Special General Meeting will be dispatched to Shareholders in due course.

well... <The draft law, introduced to the 3,000-member NPC on Thursday, unifies income tax rates for domestic and foreign-funded companies at 25 percent. Currently, foreign firms pay just 15 percent tax, while Chinese companies pay 33 percent. anyone aware of the recent annoncement made by the china govt regarding the reduction of corporate tax for the local companies from the current 33% to 25%? If this true, china companies like CG tech would have an extra 8% net profit for the next FY.. As for foreign companies in china is said to increase from 15% to 25%... Correct me if i'm wrong ! thks...

Be prepared to wait for the announcement. They will need shareholder's approval. And you will know it when they send you the voting form. Was caught unaware with that 9 cents fall on Monday which I didn't expect. I guess I will just echo what others have said. "The next couple of weeks will be a rough ride. " |

Hi. The announcement was made on SGX yesterday. I am still bullish on CGTech, and aim for >>$1.00 TP for them. Won't offer any advice on what to do with your 10 lots as your guess is as good as mine.
