More lots are in the selling than the buyiing queue.. Short sellers will short it to make some kopi $$$. Cheers to their courage ( or shd it be "rashness" ) !! Their human cash registers (i.e their "stomachs")will keep on "ringing in" the $$. |

I suppose expletives are unavoidably flow out like pleasantries when one's burnt. But then a trader must exercise discipline even when burnt. |

A dose of "expletives" can brighten forum postings. Hope Swiber will be the launching pad for such postings by those who were burnt by short selling it or had profited by selling it as stags but f (I mean "felt", pse, not the infamous expletive) they could have made more $$. |

Hope those female bloggers who spew expletives as though they are pleasantries don't one day discover stock punting by accident. If they do then I suppose there'll be more sparkle to jazz up this forum, which can not be too bad, after all. Just a brainstorming thought :) |

Let's hope this forum has only "gracious" participants who don't have to use expletives to drive home their points. However strong a share, it will succumb to short selling one fine day. I see no reason why Swiber should be an odd exception. Short sellers acting in concert have been trying very hard to make that happen to Swiber, however promising the company! Any comments from forum participants. |

Hi iPunter, luckily you clarify that f stands for fish, not the infamous expletive. Horse or fish around this share makes life exciting for fellow short sellers as they experience the sensation of the adrenaline rush.! Get kicked by the horse or gobbled up by the "shark" some time, but it can't be every day. |

Wow r u the "stingray" which killed the famous Australian underwater photograher? U mean there was such a conference (or convention) which recommended buying "Swiber" when it dips. Did u attend it? .Any other recommendations made? May be the analyst had an axe to grind (a personal agenda) - pse trade with care! |

That's the beauty of the market... there's such wide variety of different "faiths" (read beliefs). :) |

Let's see how it pans out over the next few days. For those who have "faith" in the nature of the market, there will be others who don't and will try to "short" it down everyday to make their $$$. Fellow short sellers who lose $$$ today will continue tomorrow and day after tomorrow with their merrymaking to test whether the "faith" is as solid as a rock or as shaky as volcanic tremors. Unless the share has got no contra players (i.e. paying up when payment is due after buying the shares), the short sellers will have a fair chance of making their $$$ by short selling it EVERY trading day. |

But I don't think the scalpers/traders are deliberately "tearing down" the upmove. They are just exercising their "faith"in the nature of the market in a rational manner. :) |

With a high selling volume of 1298 lots, vs a low buying volume of 133 lots, short sellers can make $$$ today. Good Luck to fellow short sellers who are "scalping" or tearing down the share today! |

Actually when one just start to be in hot soup, one can still jump out quickly. One must always quickly rescue oneself so that you still have the opportunity to punt punt later. Don't let the hungry fish gobble you up completely, especially if you are on leverage. |

Short sellers (collectively) will keep on trying to short down the counter every trading day. One fine day, they will succeed! How many shares can the "manipulators" stomach before they collapse out of sheer exhaustion! Why can't fish around with the hot horse - at most get bitten by the fishes (or sharks) or get kicked by the hot horse and die, lah? |

Thanks Lawrence for the "invaluable" input. Its IPO price was 355cents and 92 million shares were sold (Placement: 90m; public: 2m). Pse keep up your good work of contributing your TA on this share when it's possible to do so by then in this forum |

Using FA, from previous report, Swiber's profit is 300% higher in the same quarter before it was listed. The price it relied on in IPO is $0.51 using the old results. Since the profit is 300%, to achieve the same PE, the stocks makes sense to move up similar percentages. I believe that if this company continues to grow its revenue, profit, or even just maintain them at the latest result in the following quarter, there is still potential upside from the price of $1. New stocks, I find quite difficult to do an accurate TA. |
