from what I know FA wise, it is changing. TA wise, the Stochastic chart is telling us a up trend reversal signal, since both are postivie, I turn bullish. market is dynamic, not static, so does everything in this world. |

dear bootan, it went down to 24 cents during the time the overall market was weak and it was in 1 day only. i would assume downtrend to mean the price to go down in a trend of a few days or weeks. right? not sure what downtrend mean to you. to go down by 1 cent in 1 day is not considered a downtrend to me. from the day you predicted, the chart is flat at between 25-26. so when it was up 1 cent to 26 cents, was it considered an uptrend? and now in less than 2 trading days that it just gone down 1 cent to 24 cents (which was considered as downtrend for you), you are calling a buy? a suddent reversal of fortune for CSC? so are you in the construction industry or what? bottomline for us forummers is to share info to make more money. don't have to prove whoever is more talented in making calls or having more info than the other. cheers. |

dear kai, remember chart is dynamic, not static. I predicted weakness of CSC share price in the past, market has proved me right, now it has gone down to $0.24 Now the Stochastic chart has shown bullish reversal, I doubt it will fall to $0.22. Actually, I see CSC likely climbing to $0.30 or higher too, if no disaters happen. my head tell me it is time to vest now. |

Hi Mr Mombootan, You mentioned that if it breaks below 26 cents, downtrend is confirmed? Now is already 24 cents, your downtrend call should be quite certain already right? Let's have a friendly guess. How low do you think it will reach and by when? For me, I'm taking a guess by within now till end Mar, it will hit at least 30 cents. I'm also guessing it won't go below 22 cents. This is based on all things equal without any major impacts like 9-11 scenario. your charts tells you it's downtrend? Hmmm.......my heart tells me it's time to buy in at 24 cents. cheers!!!

the long term prospect of CSC looks fantatics. it is not affected by the sand ban as CSC projects projects are government projects. it is the hot favoriate to secure the two IR. |

Hi Mr Momboo, My reply to you My answer to Mr cr_kai : - singapore got $, can buy sand from elsewhere. Ans:yes, can buy elsewhere, but at very high price, piling company like CSC used lot of ready-mixed concrete, it will turn a profitable year to a money losing year. we have approach Vietnam and Chian etc, their sand quality are very poor, very high wastage. >> What's the % increase in the sand price compared with the overall material cost? piling works have other methods other than just bore pile that files in the casing with concrete. Ans:but CSC is a bored pile specalist, use other method, then the project will be award to other piling company. >> Are you sure CSC started off as a bored pile specialist? There's also H-Pile and Pipe Pile methods. Which big projects in Singapore was CSC involved in around 10 years ago? If you are in the construction industry, you should know. IR is our govt's baby, you think we will stop construction just because of this? Ans:IR contarct works will go to foreign contractors, this is an open secret, I think you are not in the construction industry, that is why you don't know. >> Whether or not I'm in the construction industry doesn't matter. You are in that industry? Good for you, then you should have more info than I do. :). Obviously I know who are the big foreign cons here before I open my mouth. Anyway, believe it or not it's up to you. Cheers! |

according to Mr ViperSTI, our dear Mr Mom BT helps contractors. but why Mr SadSad is still sad ? Mr SadSad really need Mr Mom BT helps. Since the year 1990's, contractors from South Korea and Japan have taken a big slice of Mr SadSad business. but this is OK, because the Korean and the Jap focus on highly technical projects since they are technically superior. they never spoiled the market by offering cheap price. but since year 2000, contarctors from China invaded Singapore, they are cheap and they are good and they are fast. they enjoyed a lot of unfair advantages, therefore they can offer cheap prices. so now Mr SadSad is caught in between securing projects at no profits and giving up the projects. then now this sands problems. |

ViperSTI you sounded like our Mr Mom BT. so Mr SadSad will be sad again today. Tomorrow, Mr SadSad will have another problem, how to find cash to pay the ready-mixed concrete suppliers, now they want cash upfront, otherwise no delivery. Mr SadSad cashflow is very tight now. another problems, other materials prices also gone up, plastering cements up 40%, fire-rated door up 40%, timber up, glass up etc ... |

Yes, I too tends to agree with mombootan that the increased in the cost of sales might hurt profitablilty, projects will still go on, but project fee will not goes up in line with rising cost. However, in the long term, alternative sand may be found which will then push raw material prices down again. Our government are also trying their very best in finding alternative sources, just like our water problem. In a nutshell, in the long run, FAs of construction industry is still very rosy. Things may get even more attractive in 2008 and 2009. Therefore, the current share prices of the construction industry is still consider inexpensive. You never know when the government may announce any good news which make the construction bull run again. Have good faith in our government. By helping the construction industry, they are actually helping themselves too. Trust them and they will solve the problem in no time. :P |
