The Company was incorporated in Singapore on 8 January 1986.

The Group started with Freight Links Express Pte Ltd, a freight forwarding company in Singapore on 9 January 1981. It served a niche market by providing cargo consolidation, or less-than-container-load transport services. Today, it has become an integrated logistics solution provider.

The principal activity of the Company is that of an investment holding company while the businesses of the Group are international freight forwarding, chemical storage and logistics, warehousing and distribution, documents storage and management, real estate fund and property management, and investment group.

The Group has worldwide presence spanning Asia, North & South America, Europe, Africa and Australia. It has 120 freight forwarding agents and delivers to 600 destinations globally with overseas offices in major cities in Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea, China and Dubai.

LTH logistics handles both hazardous and non-hazardous chemical and petrochemical. Its core activities include Dangerous Goods (DG) and non-DG storage, chemical transportation in bulk tankers and ISO-tanks containers, container haulage, freight services, plant management logistics, emergency recovery services and safety escort services.

The Group has warehousing facilities occupying a total gross floor area of over 1.8 million square feet. We have extensive experience in storing and forwarding all types of cargo, from small parcels to massive plant machinery, exhibition displays and archival documents. Our facilities are equipped with Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) and a web-based Warehouse Management System (WMS) for efficient storage management.

Freight Links provides real estate fund and property management services to Sabana Shari’ah Compliant Real Estate Investment Trust (in short Sabana REIT) through its majority control of Sabana Investment Partners Pte Ltd.

Freight Links is the sponsor of the Sabana REIT which is the world’s largest listed Shari’ah compliant REIT, with total assets exceeding S$1.0 billion. It was established principally to invest in income-producing real estate and real estate-related assets in line with Shari’ah investment principles.

The Board of Directors has recommended a final one-tier dividend of 0.45 cent per ordinary share subject to the approval of shareholders in the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the Company. This will be the highest dividend payout to the shareholders since its listing in 1995.

 

Freight Links Express Holdings Limited (the " Company" ) is pleased to announce that it has subscribed for an additional 612,000 convertible preference shares of HK$1.00 each in the capital of China Southwest Energy Corporation Limited (" China Southwest" ) for cash consideration of S$1,500,000 (equivalent to approximately HK$9,240,000). With this subscription and upon conversion of all the 7,812,000 convertible preference shares owned, the Company’s effective equity interest in China Southwest would increase from 24.0% to 25.5% of the enlarged capital.

China Southwest is a company incorporated in Hong Kong with an issued paid-up capital of HK$30.0 million divided into 22.8 million ordinary shares of HK$1.00 each and 7.2 million convertible preference shares of HK$1.00 each. It owns 100% of Yongxing Coal Co., Ltd in Huaping County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province through its subsidiary in the People’s Republic of China. Together with its subsidiaries, China Southwest is involved in the production of coal in China.

The subscription will be funded from internal sources and is not expected to have a material impact on the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the Company for the current financial year ending 30 April 2012.
