Noted that AEM has been snapping up by some BBs (atlantis Investment). Visited their web and noted that "Atlantis focuses predominantly on smaller and mid cap companies. We are able to take advantage of inefficiencies in the smaller markets, identifying mis-pricings that will maximise returns for our investors. If our fund managers find attractive larger stocks they will not hesitate to invest in them. However, larger cap stocks tend to be priced more efficiently and enjoy greater coverage by analysts. Therefore, the opportunity to uncover undervalued companies is significantly greater in smaller and mid-cap stocks." Although we might get excited when some BBs are snapping up the counter, it might be good to know who are the BBs... This should be good for FA pp as the fundamentals are still strong with good growth, dividend and low PEs. |

FA prople said in that: AEM-Evertech Making headway into substrate market Story: Our recent update with AEM suggests that the company is on track to expand its substrate business. However, management is cautiously optimistic on the equipment segment in view of the mixed outlook for semiconductors. Point: We are revising our FY06 earning estimate down by 12%, taking into consideration the slower pace of the semiconductor industry in 4Q. Overall, outlook remains sanguine. Management is looking to double its current substrate capacity by FY07 to cater to rising demand. Relevance: We continue to be upbeat about the prospects of AEM underpinned by strong substrate demand which now makes up 30% of sales. Reiterate Buy. Our S$0.34 target price is pegged to 6.5x FY07 earnings. Substrate growth on track. AEM?s penetration into the organic substrate business in FY03 seems to have been a brilliant move. The revenue growth is tremendous with quadrupled capacity and this has rooted a turnaround story for AEM. To note, substrate sales has been growing at a two year CAGR of 184% for 2003-2005 and now contributes to over 30% of total sales. Our check with management indicates that the substrate segment is performing well. They have seen healthy order flows from customers and the momentum is expected to continue. In light of this, MicroCircuit Technology (MCT) has increased its capacity by 20% to 60k panels per month from 1H06. Substrate capacity to be doubled by 2007. AEM plans to double its current capacity gradually by FY07 to cater to rising demand from its customers, namely ST Microelectronics and Infineon. Given that AEM?s substrate plant is running out of capacity, we surmise merger and acquisition to be the most likely resolution. We also reckon Overall outlook remains sanguine. Substrates supply is likely to remain tight, propelled by robust demand for handset and PC shipments. Thus, we expect the substrate sales to grow strongly mitigating the impact of slower than expected sales from the equipment division. Overall outlook remains sanguine. Substrates supply is likely to remain tight, propelled by robust demand for handset and PC shipments. Thus, we expect the substrate sales to grow strongly mitigating the impact of slower than expected sales from the equipment division. One of AEM?s major semiconductor equipment customers has lowered its capex budget for 4Q. Coupled with anticipation of a slowdown in semiconductor growth for the quarter, we are revising our FY06 estimate down by 12%. Despite this revision, AEM should still be able to achieve 30% yoy earnings growth in 2H, registering a record profit year.Maintain Buy with Target Price of S$0.34. We continue to be upbeat about the prospects of AEM underpinned by strong substrate demand. Current valuation of 5.2x FY07 earnings is inexpensive. Reiterate Buy. Our target price of S$0.34 is pegged to 6.5x FY07 earnings, implying an attractive 35% upside. |

Hi lis_way, I use Accumulation/Distribution, Chaikin, Williams %R and RSI. From time to time, I also use Bollinger Bands. A point to note... a stock can stay overbought or oversold for some time before reversing its trend. So the overbought/oversold condition but itself isn't really useful. It just urges caution. |

Yes tabbycat... J Though buying at the breakout instead of the apparent bottom requires one to pay more, it should be treated as an 'insurance premium'. I consider your trading style to be rational and therefore sound. |

MACD histogram shows a U-turn is coming up. As I only use one indicator for my analysis, further research may be necessary. I will wait for two or three trading days to confirm the trend as I need not have to buy at the very bottom. Cheers |

When a stock is already falling (ie. sliding down the trend) , the more attention you pay to 'fundamental soundness', the more $$$ you stand to lose coz the only relevant fundamental then is the trend itself. But AEM-Ever has already fallen substantially from the high point (ie 0.265)... so it may be due to form a base in the near future... |

When prices go down, it is usually with lower volume, since it takes only a few sellers willing to let it go at lower prices when there are few buyers willing to pay more. So low volume on falling days are 'natural' since just a relatively few lots done at a low, low price will make the stock dive to the low low price. |

Hi lis_wang, I don't think so. The volume over the recent past has not been out of the ordinary. Not too little or not too much. |

Probably when this one reaches the floor, it will 'stretch' after a tiring run-up, stretch itself and then lie there like a lazy snake until people forget about it or dump it in utter frustration. |
