CS maintains its OUTPERFORM rating and $12.90 TP on counter, being its top pick within Singapore's capital goods sector. House believe it will be a key beneficiary of Mexico Energy Reform, with the recent MOU signed with PEMEX to jointly develop, own and operate a yard in Mexico. Despite Chinese competition, CS believe Keppel is well positioned in the rigbuilding market due to its wide offering of proprietary rigs and established ?near market, near customer? strategy. Keppel has secured about $6.7b of contracts YTD, representing 96% of our 2013 forecast of $7.0b. Next year, house expect $7b of orders in 2014, driven by strong jackup demand from Mexico, as well as options exercised by Transocean for more jackup rigs. | ||||

Let me tell you my reaction on KepCorp.. :) My reaction on KepCorp is it touched 11.11 and came down, then strongly rebound back to 11.11.. then it rebounded to above 11.10 to go as high as 11.18, but it reacted down..? You know why..? :) Because it is about to reach the higher high resistance la.. which is 11.20 Resistance Level la.......... when was that peak point..?? 22/05/2013, wow....6 months ago.. power.. |

FELS, a subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O& M), has secured a repeat order to build a jackup rig from a subsidiary of Ensco plc for around US$265 million.
The KFELS Super A Class harsh environment jackup rig is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter 2016. It will be the fourth ENSCO 120 Series jackup rig that Ensco has ordered from Keppel FELS since 2011. As part of the contract, Ensco has an option to order another similar rig. |

Today jump in price is that they just a announce 1.1b worth of contract secured by kep fel but not to forgot they had a yard in Mexico now and analyst mention 6 or more rig to be awarded by Pemex by end 13 or begin 14. Shd continue uptrend if not just take dividen also not bAd ma..

KC Secured a repeat order from Transocean to build 5 KFELS Super B Class jackup rigs for US$1.1b. The rigs are scheduled for delivery progressively from 1Q16-3Q17. In addition, Transocean has options to build up to another 5 similar jackup rigs with KEP. This Transocean order does not come as a surprise, as the tender was reported by Upstream earlier this wk, with KEP tipped to be in the running to clinch the orders, given its track record with Transocean. Nevertheless, it is an affirmation of KEP?s leading position as a rig builder. Including this latest order, KEP has secured 20 newbuild projects worth about $6.4b ytd. This comes close to exceeding the street?s full year estimate of $5.5-6.5b worth of orders. OCBC maintains Buy with TP $12.87. | ||||

BNP notes KEP?s ?near customer, near market? strategy has positioned it to win orders in overseas regions with strong demand, such as Brazil, Mexico, Azerbaijan and the Middle East, allowing the rig builder to hold its market shares at 33% in 2011-13 (24% in 2013). Nevertheless the house lowers 2013-14 forecasts by 8% and 4%, due to delayed recognition of new orders, particular from the Petrobras-related semi-sub projects. Following its earnings forecast revisions, the house lowers its SOTP-based TP to $12.50 (from $13), for potential upside of 15%. This equates to a FY14e P/E of 12.7x and 2.1x P/B. BNP maintains its Buy rating. | ||||

Keppel Corp has secured a US$440m order for two jackup newbuilds from repeat customer Clearwater Capital Partners. The rigs are schedule for delivery in 4Q15 and 1Q16. The US$220m pricetag for each of the new rigs compares with the US$180m pricing for an earlier contract with Clearwater back in Jan ?11. As at 9M13, Keppel has achieved year-to-date orders of ~$5.04b, which forms 78% of the street?s 2013e new order estimate of $6.5b. A new shipbuilding yard that is jointly developed by Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic and Azerbaijan Investment Company was officially opened by President of Azerbaijan, H.E.
